Beyond frustrated with whichever Dev keeps holding up updates. Why are so many Devs dropping 1 release a yr now?
Subsricption based income:
- Cheap to customers, but you only need a relatively small number of subsricptions to earn a decent income.
- Most subscribers don't give two shits; it's only a few bucks a month.
Lack of requirements:
- The platform only requires you to make an update post every now and then.
- You don't concretely
have to deliver anything. Ever.
Consumer base is small:
- Most consumers of these types of AVN's also play the others everyone knows. It's literally a small circle of people.
Demanding fanbase:
- Wankers will make a big fuss of just about any minute detail they don't like. We see this all the time.
- Faster, but smaller updates have been showcased time and time again to only make the small but loud group of people upset.
- It's easier for the dev to skip feedback, and a good way to do that is by not giving the consumers content to criticize.
These reasons result in effectively zero reason to push for more output. The reward will likely not change. It will certainly not correlate with effort.
So basicly there's no requirements, it's cheap and easy to make money, and you can just spew bullshit but wankers will still keep coming back for more.
Sexual content is likely the easiest way to drag people along with. You literally only need to post a sob story about why your update is taking so long.
For the amount of content these devs make, they can easily do it in about a month and then take the rest of the year off. They get paid regardless.
Add to that the fact that most AVN devs are russian or from other such nations, to whom lying, cheating, corruption and manipulation of people are a part of their culture...
THEN add the fact that ALOT of the players are just straight up toxic neckbeards who do nothing but complain, whilst sniffing their own shit stained fingers.
Once you build a big enough fanbase with a product that stands out from the rest, you literally have virtually no need to anything else than the bare minimum to maintain your income.
