Heavily depends on the state. There are more than a few where the sheriffs will simply come for you almost immediately after the landlord calls them.

Well squatters are annoying even here in the Philippines...hard to get rid once they occupy and make a settlement.
Still here in the Philippines don't be surprised if the entire squatters settlement has a fire which can't be explained....
Either it is due to squatter stealing powers from the power lines or someone did it deliberately.
