Babysitting cream - creator stopped releasing updates and several times someone new has taken over but not done anything new with it.

I think I would add Single Again to this list. It started off somewhat promising, but each update I just grew more and more tired of it really. I haven't even checked the last couple of updates.

To me probably:

Lunar's Chosen (ok, it's entertaining, it's basically a fuckfest but it's starting feeling kinda dragged on longer than it should have been)
Sunset Fairies (I agree with what's been already said, I could EASILY do without all the prolapses and p*ssies looking like an inside out sock, BUT story is somehow alright AND MOSTLY the smols looks amazing)
Between Salvation and Abyss (same developer as SS, same things already said for SS apply here, BUT at some point I personally lost the plot so now I'm just there for the ride XD)
On Distant Shores (it LITERALLY breaks my heart adding what's been probably one of my top 2 fav games here, cause the game is awesome to me, but the last and final update pretty much literally nuked all the good de had built so far)
Nephilim (started GREAT but the dev at some point probably put too much on the table story-wise, and lost the reins of it)

Summertime Saga, Taffy Tales, Reunion. For various reasons, I stopped following these projects. On the brink of moving into this category is Amnesia.

Many. Most recent one is Confusion. It started interesting, but now it looks like authors revenge/empowerment fantasy. Fantasy were protagonist bangs their sisters and will probably bang their mom in the end. Its weird.

In the case of Reunion, an initially interesting plot degenerated into an idiotic fuckfest. 30 LI! Why not 50, then the MC would surely die of general exhaustion.

The developer sounds too full of themselves to admit their mistake.

Summertime Saga for me. Really liked the game, but the lack of updates killed my enthusiasm for it.

Also having to start over. not sure if it was the tech update or what. i went back to it after a long break (like you said lack of updates) and none of my saves were there. I was like nah, this isn't good enough for me to start over.

16 years later - sorta error prone, awkward dailog and all that despite really long time between updates
sunset fairies - great renders i thought, should be good i thought. just got weird and awkward.
lessons in love - hate the "puzzles", starting to very much dislike the last few udpates.
summetime saga - like others said. started off fun and neat. then really slow updates, plus more girls and threads without giving time for the ones already established... and then what killed it for me was the tech udpate. i just didn't feel like i wanted to try going through the grinding again.
Bare witness - game is good, don't get me wrong. Game started out great and was doing good then for me the ending felt rushed like crazy. better than drip fed updates forever but man could that ending have had a bit more time for it.

Not technically 1 game, but NLTs games (Treasure of Nadia, Genesis order, most recently Symphony of the Serpent), so much potential and seems to be a lot of work going in to the games, but somehow they seem to just turn or worse and worse.
Especially the newest one, Symphony of the Serpent, almost all characters are, for lack of a better word, ugly.
