You say that like they were posting real images. It was just chat and quite highly regulated at that.

Yeah and the way i see it the discussions in the grey zone actually helped preventing people from doing bad things. It's impossible to do prevention if the whole mention of the subject is taboo. Fallen is/was socially useful for that.

Yep. Victimless outlets are important. Don't want to get too political but just look at weed and the war on drugs. Make weed as illegal and vilified as harder drugs and it makes it easier for a person to convince themselves to take the plunge.

The fallen already is a refuge to people from other sites which have shut down. It's unfortunately something that happened a lot in past decades, often not because of direct censorship but by targeting banks and hosts into refusing service. No site is safe from it, our communities are mortal.
No, it is on people. Look how much effort Kavinsky put into making donations easy, safe and completely unconnected to this site, and still people are looking for excuses to not give a dime. We can't blame it on banks, it is as always human nature to cry when someone goes down but never giving any support to the sites they were "the biggest fan" of.

Yeah, I remember a great wave of people after lol icit was taken down.

It's part because of the community people who aren't good enough but the pressure from the bigot society we live in is increasingly strong and also contribute a lot to sites closing.

Plus, lack of funds on the part of some individuals.

They are down? I didn't even know, good riddance.

I joined for a while just to discover one artist got into disagreement with a mod about ai art (in chat) and mod outright banned her. I called the mod out on it and then she threatened me too. I just send message to admin to remove my account and all my info and that was it. The most power hungry moderation I ever witnessed. I am actually happy now.

Sounds like the moderation on the site in the OP.

I see a similar sort of mindset for lolicon communites. It's part of the reason why I don't think there is a future for loli content.
I think it's partially true. I think like, 90% of people won't pay for porn, that's true. But that 10% will and given how many people look at porn, that's still a decent market of cash.

Obviously, people are hesitant to connect their identity with dubiously legal content. I think if it were less legally questionable in many places and it was easier to pay for and such, it probably could be profitable, but as it currently is... If you wanna make money don't do loli lol.

I did some, but I get $1K/month Social Security AND patron some devs, so money isn't exactly overflowing...

And that´s fine too.
Cause of legal or social trouble you can get into.

You can say it's not connected as much as you like, that doesn't make it true. Do I think LEA is going to go after a bunch of random people supporting a game website? No, but when there's money, there's a paper trail.
That's why there are boltfile and unifans, but fine, let it be as you want and then lets cry about how world is vile and unfair because another site got shut down.

I'm grateful for all the unique content on that site, and to all the interesting people who made up the community. To the assholes trying to squash it, I can only say, it's a part of human nature, lolis and shotas will forever be adorable, and the community will never stop looking for new ways to keep on fapping. Hopefully this downtime won't lead to some ACTUAL abuse because some idiot no longer has an outlet to seek out support the site provided.

This! I think it also really depends on what country your coming from, what your current legislation and general tech competency of LE is. I for my part don't want to judge to harshly, there's so many reasons for people to be hesitant.

My friend from Latvia recommended him hosting in his country since it ticks all the boxes, and I am sure there are multiple countries like that.

Why are some of you acting like this is over? This looks like a small hurdle to overcome
