I've never seen so much energy devoted to consistently making a website so uneasy and unfamiliar. It's fascinating how almost purposefull the constant "changes" seem at fucking everything up. Like putting handlebars on trampoline.

Nah the problem is lack of skill, funding, and trying to meet every members expectations, which is impossible.

This isn't an IT site run by a corporation or a professional team. Guess it's easier to complain though.

It's a reputation system, other users can give you "good boy" points if they like you. Yes, it's one step away from a class system.
