Don't make the same mistake in reverse. As an American who has traveled frequently to and done work in non-English-speaking Europe, I can assure you that plenty on both sides of the pond know far less than they think (and are wrong about) the other side of it.

Now let's get back to lewd topics instead of this political crap.

It's not about individual people, it's about stats. Statistically, you have a lot more chance to find someone in Europe that know stuff about America than an American that know stuff about Europe. The fact that America education is crap for most of the people doesn't help, the random european on the street generally have lot more knowledge on topic like geography, other countries language and culture than a random american.

By the way, american prejudice that french people are dirty and never wash is widely exaggerated, same for the belief that we are super romantic and good in bed (on that last one, i would say unfortunately).

You mention stats but you neglect to consider those stats also show that they vary. As for your second point, which is an insultingly obvious strawman... I'll put it civilly... At no point did I say the french were filthy, not sure why you decided to imply that but at no point did I say that.
