I already moved on from the convo like all the others have so i won't reiterate my position on it, but i do want to comment on the latter half. I wasn't offended, all i did was explain to him why his joke was perceived this badly and try to get him to see how others see when he types something.
Should i just use emojis with every single sentence or something for people to understand i am not offended?![]()
He didn't make a joke, but made an earnest analogy of why physical violence against women is silly. However, you called him out claiming this line of reasoning lacks any sense and find it morally objectionable. You clearly find it bothersome enough to criticize him for it, thus appearing offended.
I'm just explaining how your reply is being perceived, just as you did to him. No offense.
And yes, emojis make everything better.
