Ah mods. Should have thought of going there to fix the issue. I always just tweeked world settings to increase the carry weight gain to max for both players and dinos.

I tweaked some of the ingame settings too, to get more resources with each swing, but mods are a fantastic addition to that game, there should be a lot of different creature mods too, if that interests you.
