I just don't know why you'd think me saying the US has no journalistic standards anymore means I think that only applies to the US, or that no other country would have problems with a lack of journalistic integrity.

Yeah, that's unfortunately a worldwide problem. Most journalists today only are like "this guy say that, this other guy say this other thing, they don't agree". They don't verify the information, they don't do their own investigation, because all of this cost money.

Plus, many medias are owned by billionaires. They present information in the way the owner say they should. Dependency to publicity can also influence what a media publish or not.

There should be more independent and investigative journalism, as access to good information is base for a good democracy.

Out of curiosity what AI tools are people using these days? I always ran a local version of Stable Diffusion with a GUI on a desktop running a GeForce 4070.

I mostly use SD Forge now.

The first one might be a bit too much according to my first hand experience with the rules... waiting for a mod might have your whole post sent to oblivion.

IMHO the problem lies in the general situation of traditional media. Since internet took over they've been constantly declining. To give you an idea, what was the leading newspaper in my country used to sell 1.000.000 copies a day per average in its heyday. Now the numbers are as low as 60.000 on a good day.
That means that traditional media has to pander to their core demographic to stay afloat, just as "lowly" youtubers. And of course, they're easy prey for any millionaire.

And, for no other reason that I like it, and we may be getting too political here's to you all this piece of art.

I have no idea what to say, I don't have ads, even when I turn my ad blocker off.
Before Prestiges got the renamed, VIP2 had a line about removing ads, when you bought it, but just checked, and it doesn't seem to say that anymore.
