Do people genuinely enjoy when a game has mini games or combat in them? I think sometimes it can ruin immersion and be unnecessary, though obviously there are people that enjoy them since it's apart of so many games.

Sure, for me it's why I would call it a game

Very rarely. I especially hate those lazy click-as-fast-a-you-can mini-"games".

That said, a relaxed logic-based puzzle can provide a nice break. The party management stuff in Being a DIK springs to mind.

I just can't stand “mini-games” as the vast majority of them focus solely on the player's reaction speed while breaking the gameplay of the main game. I delete all games and VNs with such “mini-games” without the slightest thought and mark them on my blacklist.

Hell no, I FUCKING HATE that shit.

Nope - throws off pacing

Not really. Usually the minigames are not fun and are just an addition to pad the playtime. A "puzzle" like having to connect colored wires or something for a fusebox I find okay though.

It depends on the game. Ex: the match 3 in a VN just gets in the way but if it's a match 3 in a puzzle game then sure. It's all about consistency.

I have never seen a minigame in one of these that I didn't want to skip. Ones that can't be skipped are a "bastard dev" thing.

It depends... Some games are rather decent from gameplay perspective.

But I do find that porn and gaming doesn't really go well together.

Depends on how they are implemented. Most minigames are just annoying fillers. Combat, however, can be very intense and can be the main appeal of a game. And sometimes even 'combat' mechanics that look like a minigame turn out to be fun. For example in 'Love of Magic', I really like the poker-card-game combat.

Some are ok, though if you have to keep going through them they can be tiresome fast. Occasionally one makes the game a little bit better and helps keep pacing.

I like puzzles and combat as long as they are either escalating in difficulty, or fast to solve/end. That said I haven't come across good examples in adult games as it is like making a second game on top.

They do eventually get boring. There was one that had a fishing game that was mandatory for $ gain. That got bad fast.

No. They often break a moment and usually done poorly.

In adult games? Absolutely not.
