For example I like how the protagonist of Desert Stalker has that absolute authority over his household. Sure male domination / comes close but its more than just sexual domination. Its how that authority is justified in the world building centered around their tradition. What i like is not just sexual domination but the authority that the protagonist gets in some of these games. Another example might be hot sand of antarctica albeit both are very similar games.

First, I like both games as well. Maybe for different reasons. From my point of view, the MC´s don´t dominate by authority but by protection and care. Their domination is build by trust and love. Just dominate by authority, others would fight against it, which both gets visible on side characters in both games pretty well.
I support desert stalker since a very early stage via Patreon. And I am happy about, how the game has developed. It is as well a good example, that tags are not everything. The tags needs to fit into the story. They should carry the story as deeper explanation of the characters.
Some developers seem to add some out of topic scenes, just to earn an additional tag.

To give you an easy example, you could have an NTR scene, happened in the past, to explain why the MC is very jealous. Although I would avoid NTR usually, there are situations, you could need such tags to go deeper into MC´s history and background. Or to have an explanation to progress with the story.
In my opinion it is absolutely necessary for a good story, not only showing what is happening today. It is very important to understand the characters. Why do they react like they do? A good story needs to show their secrets. The things, they maybe wouldn´t even talk to their best friends about.

In the end the tags never can be more than a hint to the content. But most important is, how is the author using the tags in the games. And there is nothing giving you a hint about this.

Yeah, corruption is really not specific at all. Who's corrupting who? Is the MC corrupting characters? Is the MC being corrupted by other characters? Is it a non-MC character corrupting non-MC characters?

Sometimes you can infer from the tags but a lot of the time you can't.
