I've skipped the last few update cycles (last I played was 0.7.2R) in the hope that Ketzal would write a less douchey, selfish and casual defloration scene for Leana (and any other girls going forward e.g. Hailey, Tiffany, etc.) than the morning scene where the MC just rolls over on top of her and rams it in with basically no foreplay other than what she performed on him, or much consideration for her emotions, size or (lack of) experience. But from what I've read it seems the second such scene is just about as bad and he generally continues treating all the girls like whores, cocksleeves and cumdumps. Which is fine, I certainly would play such a path but would have preferred a more romantic path as well. Should I just stop waiting for a more romantic and "special" first time for the girls and just accept that this is a game where the MC is always an asshole, you can only choose the style and degree of his assholery with your choices?

I think it's a rather subjective opinion, but the problem with the first scene with Leanna isn't the dialogue between them but the animation, it's quite violent if you put it into context and Leanna's age (although it's still a story and Ketzal can do what he likes with the size of Leanna's vagina and the distance of her uterus...). I thought that if you chose to deflower her on the second occasion, it's a little softer. As for the scene with Tiffany, it's quite gentle and once again I find that the MC takes his time and cares for her so as not to rush her. It's really only with Alice that I find the domination scenes a little too hard (again, it's subjective, it's really not my thing). She's obviously in pain (anal scene) but the MC goes on anyway, really not my thing. Although Alice is very naughty, I think it goes too far, but since I can avoid these scenes with my choices, it's no big deal.

By all means, you try to find a some orphaned variables in 10,000+ lines of code and time yourself while doing so. It's possible but apparently Ketzal deemed the current solution good enough while working on the next update as a better use of Paz's time that he pays for.

I think that argument doesn't fly in this case. Because when the prompt for the value was introduced, the variable was defined. He just has to go back to the scene and set it there as well. Sure there could be some problems to find all possible paths, but with a project so ambitious, there should be some storyboard/plan that helps you to locate all paths.

That's sad news. I assumed it was just a temporary lack of time since the next update gets priority. I have seen it done in Daz in other AVNs (Sinful City latest example I know of) but yeah that had some unusual camera angles, positions and close ups and probably wouldn't pass Ketzal's QA department, esp if he wants to keep the renders already in the game and expand them into animations (eg like Nicole/MC's first time when she started riding him, though I think that one was probably done in reverse with the animation first and some of the renders made around that, as that one is a pretty popular/common stock animation in Daz).

One question, is the version we received different from the version that was made available to paying customers? Until now I always thought it was the same, just with a delay in the release. The versions are normally identical. But in the last update ketzal added some small demos for potential new projects as a thank you for his subscribers.

The variables were all fixed, but ketzal tries to be always save game compatible. So if you load a save from before the fix was implemented it still works as intended.
Otherwise you would be forced to replay certain parts of the game to make it work.

ketzal promised that the MC will always be the only one who gets the girls (no NTR or sharing with another male).
So if a son in your playtrough appears, he will not compete with you for the girls.

It's not a problem with RenPy but If you load an older save where the variable ist Missing.
You can implement something so the game knows if the save is from before or after the fix. But ketzal currently prefers to work on new content instead of a complete code refactoring.

Oh it gets worse. I'm not sure how but I recall when Inceton released a bug fix for Summer With Mia 2 and a previously-unknown Renpy bug undid their bug fix by ignoring or undoing some flags or something. The end result was a bunch of pissed off people (the original bug was game-breaking, no one could reach the end of the update) got even more pissed when on their end the fix did nothing. Third time's the charm I guess.
