Depends on the size of the island and the climate. I keep a flint on my keychain, which is always on me, so fire wouldn't be hard. If there are enough trees to provide food for sustenance year round, I could survive for a quite a long time while I tried to figure out methods for rescue, improved living situation (shelter, catching fish), and so on. The loneliness and boredom would be the real threats.

You are mostly correct! the Loneliness and boredom would be the largest sanity threats, and as per the prompt, food is available year round, just takes basic skills to acquire, prepare and identify.

Lazing around tired, taking advantage of the long weekend.

10, maybe 15, minutes tops.

This is a reasonable survival time, I'm going to assume this is based on a lack of ability to tell which plants are edible, or a very low desire to survive, hopefully the first.

I think I could survive for a decent amount of time on the island. If the ship is crashed into the island, you could easily use that as shelter while you prepare something better. While surviving off the nature of the island you could start to plan a way to get off the island with the material from the ship wreck and items off the island. So many scenarios could be played out with this prompt.

Using the ship as a shelter could work assuming you trusted the tide not to drag you back deeper into the water on a broken ship. however in most cases trying to escape an island results in death due to having limited navigation resources, and thus not knowing what direction to go, or how far you need to go. but id say your basic planning would keep you going for long enough to TRY and get off the island based on this response.

Assuming the island has what you stipulated - I would imagine a few years till some sort of accident or infection took me down. I forage as a hobby and have no notable allergies. It's good that it's an island -- no worries about zombies.

You sir have won this challenge, you have a skill that would help you survive, and have no delusions of trying to escape on your own! realistically with this mentality its likely you would survive long enough for either another vessel to find you, or at least to make more ship wrecked friends!

my taxidermy skills I'd like to stuff Algeo and hang him over the fireplace which are good. I also
have an interesting wood chipper out back that Underlord would fit in quite nicely.
I could even make you one of my famous toasted cheese sandwiches with the crust cut off,
just like mother used to make. Speaking of mother!

Nah, it's usually only a few steps up and he'll shake it a bit, and say "Be careful!". Then, after another step up he'd do it again. Like someone driving forward a few feet when trying to get into a car, in an attempt to mess with you. Mostly playful, never when I was high enough to fall and get hurt. Old people are weird like that. I tend to stay on good terms with my neighbors, so they can watch my place when I travel. Which has been a lot in the last few years. I'd rather be the reliable, approachable, likeable neighbor, and not the dickhead you can't stand to be around. The ones that argue about property lines and parking spots. Or the type that calls in noise complaints when you have a radio on, while you're outside working on a car or something.

Yeah, sorry, he seems like a nice guy, it's just, I'm kinda scared of hights, yes that include standing on ladders, so even if he was just doing it in good fun, I would be scared shitless.
But he sounds like a nice old guy!

I've heard nothing but nice things about Keanu Reeves. I've seen him a bunch in Malibu, Burbank, and Hollywood Hills. Someone always points him out when he's around. He's pretty pleasant, unlike the asshat Zachery Ty Bryan from Home Improvement, whom I've seen around the Joshua Tree area several times. I'm not much for violence outside of film, but that's a guy I've wanted to strike a few times. I think he probably lives around there close to Palm Springs, because I've seen him maybe 4 times in the last couple years.

I wanna meet Keanu Reeves or at least see him IRL one day, but it's a little hard, since I don't come anywhere near where he is.

Hello, bestie! I'm still here, just not actively posting anymore.
I got worse. My immune system is shit right now. Nothing serious still, but everything that I could get, apparently I got, and it's annoying as fuck.
Sore throat, lots of secretions, nonstop coughing, pink eye... Even my ear is suffering something! So my mood isn't the greatest these days. Hahaha
And I didn't even left home aside from work. I don't how could so many things happen at once!
