discussion How many games have you played/tried? How many did you support on patreon?

I just checked the RenPy save directoy, it contains 518 item. I tried a lot but the most was only a "10 minute fun". Maybe it's unusual but the most important thing in this games for me is the story. If a game is just a simle fuckfest like some cheap random porn that is not mine.

I've lost count of how many games I've played, but it's certainly been a lot...like, A LOT. Now if you ask me how many of those I've really enjoyed, I'd guess around 10. Unfortunately I've never contributed to any developer on patreon, but I've bought a few complete games on other platforms.

I've tossed a few bucks on patreon for a game or two. Might've done one or two on Itch also.

There are simply far too many of them now and the time between updates is getting longer and longer for most of them. Most of the time I can't remember anything anymore xD

I support ~5 games and various comic artists, but I change every now and then.

I also never supported a game on patrean - i know, bad - because i learned the hard way through games i would have liked to supported that the game devs either vanish into thin air, make the games their cash cows for milking and not developing a game or change parts of a game that were the whole reason for following the development.

I've been playing porn/H/adult games for an embarrassingly long time but I've only supported (or at least used to) one on patreon, Saria Reclaimed... and look what happened to it

The dev overhauled the combat system, removed some art that used to be present and then put it on-hold (probably indefinitely) most likely due to the massive backlash.

It's a damn shame too because it was my most anticipated porn game.

I once thought about supporting a game I really liked characters and story but it wasnt really progressing much, then artist decided for a sprites overhaul.. totally changing characters. I really lost interest in that one + he said that for everyone complaining he will delay the updates of that game.

I supported 7 devs 3 of them finished games.
the others are the reason, I don´t support ongoing games anymore...
After a game is finished, I really like, I buy a high rank for only one month.
(have no steam or anything else)

I have easily played over a hundred games, and supported as few of them as possible.
I will never touch patreon. Especially since patreon's mandate is antithetical to all the things I like in a game.

if i recall it was a copy of karyns prison so if you wanted a game like it try that one

I've played the vast majority of the games I would like. I've not subbed to any of them but have purchased them when they have a one time free rather than ongoing sub.

nowadays I'm trying to find more games that are either super deep into development ( so like anything above 0.7) or have several complete chapters. I've been burned by too many games that have 10 slides of content 1 choice and show a nipple
