It seems that the only real difference in the comedy really is likely cultural and if you understand someone culture then the comedy can be made funny but I guess we are like you guys, we don't have those American Pie or Ace Ventura Pet Detective style comedies, but I watch them on sky TV like netflix or our version, and they are in English. Japanede sub titles annoy me and the dubs are terible so I never bother with them

O yeah. Big Bang Theory. This is a good show. I think they stopped making it these days? The repeats are fun. I never liked 3rd Rock from the Sun. I seen maybe couple times but never was interested. So you still watch these programs or is there different ones these days?

Yes, I agree, Horror movies seems now to be best in the Asian world, and Japanese Horror is consider about the best in the world so far. Hollywood lost the plot and is too much CGI crazy and the scriptwriters need to be sent to writing school. Just terrible plots lol. Korea is also make some decent Horror and you should check out the Chinese. They are doing good job these days.

O ok, it sounds bit complicated. We just have one word for Monday ect. Never any other added part and the usual day greetings. Portuguese sounds bit more involved with seems to be many changes to one certain words can change its meaning. I don't know if Spanish is this way but even Spanish have verbs of motion and so on. Much more involved than even English and it is a beautiful language. Very poetic and passion in many ways.

My significant other has been on an Asian horror kick lately. Train to Busan is a favorite atm. Personally I'm not into it, but I'm not going to stop them from enjoying it.

There is a western documentary searching for general tso which talks about this. Now the current general tsos is more American, but it's origin is in tawain.

Train to Busan made a lot of success, right. And that zombies running up was really frightening.

If your SO likes Train to Busan have them check out Rampant and Kingdom the series on Netflix. They're both Korean Period pieces with Zombies, well Rampant is kinda Demons. Plus, All of Us Are Dead, also on Netflix.

There's The Sadness which is Chinese. Pretty brutal, sort of an adaption of The Crossed.

It's like a corny Hong Kong Dawn of the Dead. I actually love the movie. I remember when people tried to link Bio-Cops to the movie because the guy that plays Crazy Bee is in both, plus they both had Bio in the English title.

Oh I remember that I still have to watch Dawn of the Dead! Put it on my list and forgot.

OG Star Trek made me like The Last Ship more, because like Kirk the Captain in The Last Ship was often a part of the Away Team. As much as I love TNG and prefer it over the original, I'll always like Kirk over Picard for that very reason. Since he was front and center, while in TNG Picard was the leader rather than the pioneer.

Loved Enterprise, always found the opening with Lyrics to be odd, since it was kind of a series first. I'm a huge Scott Bakula fan, since I loved Quantum Leap and Necessary Roughness.

Never got used to the opening theme. Bakula fan as well, liked it up til season 4 where I feel they had to rush.

i love kirk serie and movie, but Voyager is for me the best. With Q and the Borg, its pretty good.

Although Voyager isn't my favorite, liked DS9 better when it aired, it's still leagues better than all the new ones to me.

I've met Patrick Stewart, he's really goofy, incredibly funny. I think he was the chillest in the cast when I met them. Plus him and Liam Neeson are big Beavis & Butt-Head fans, which ups their likeability.
