I knew this update would not go over well with some of the decisions that I went with. The characters, namely Frank and Lilith acting outside how they've been written in the past. But I didn't expect the update to be (pretty much) universally hated. So, I've gone back and re-written parts of it.
The main issue people seemed to have was Frank pushing Abigail into a relationship with Lilith. That has been removed and all other dialog that came from that has been changed.

My own thought (not Dev)
I think part of the issue could be considered as, that when people don't like something thet are very quick to complain and quite loud when they do so but when they like something they can be quite slow to say so,if they even do at all and so the reaction to something like an update can be potentially disproportionally skewed towards the negative.

Lord talk about a bunch of cry baby's. It was Easy to see the direction the Dev was going with it in the next few updates.

Well the lesson for us all is that if we like something don't get drowned out. We may be more numerous than the nay-sayers.

Well, this seems like a case where paying feedback, or feedback in other forums likely has more sway. Shame that, because I'd much rather trust in the process. I prefer to see where this author's vision is going, and I didn't have the same issues with the dialog and behaviors. Alas.

Slow burning, but good build up and nice scenes when it comes. The MC feels guilty a bit too often, but you get to understand him. And the LIs are all lovable each with its own personality.

Frank didn't push Abi in a relation with Lily, they were already in one. He just forced an understanding that the current status, basically limbo, is going to end up hurting them and their relationship.
It made sense to me and was an obvious way to get to the end result we are all waiting for
Now I'm worried. I hope my save file will still work next update

The dev has reported on their Patreon and SS that the latest update (Ver 1.24.1) has been significantly rewritten following it's poor reception. The new version is available through his Patreonand SS and is Ver 1.24.1.1.

1.24.1.1 is now available on the first post under the compressed link. The compressed version of the update leaked and has been updated here, those wanting the non-compressed might have to wait until the next full version drops. I have not played it yet, but you might need to use a save from before v1.23.

Agreed, a writer should never stray from their original vision while contaminating it with the ideas of outsiders. A good writer can fix and reinforce their own story, take some critique, but stay true while moving forward and avoiding rewrites.

I hope the developer wants to develop the other characters first and Abby at the end, to keep expectations in the game. I also think it makes the characters have very different personalities and it's not all that "quick"

Yeh agree and finally getting Abby will be the ultimate rush for me followed by a deep sadness and the realization that the chase is over. The author created the ultimate experience for me in terms of anticipation with Abby. I love how much time they allowed for personality development with all the girls.

But I do hope we get lots of content afterwards. All of them together a few times, and different mixes of pairings/groupings. I'd like a lot more story after what happens... Pregnancy maybe? You know both Lily and Abby both mentioned family... Can bet that Becca does too. I know it's a really slow burn, if they make it to Abby, but just ending it with her wouldn't be enough for me.

Nice girls with good character development. But the MC is still a bit too whiny and worrisome. But what the hell, we don't play the games for the MCs sake, but for the girls. Right? ;-)
