The thing with The manor is for the first 2 chapter you have to do all the stuff to go to the next chapter, but after that you can just play the girls you like and for the most part skip the others.

seems like this turned into the goodnight thread tonight :ROFLMAO:
You look like you're getting ready, too:

So I had a choice about what to do with my time tonight.
1) Backread
2) Learn a new skill

And it's just in my nature to want to learn, and also to always feel like an outsider.

That is the better way to learn a new language, being immersive on it. I have long years of speaking and reading English, but just the other day I found a joke with Elixir, but didn't understand, and my pronunciation for it is in Portuguese, as it is the same writting. Well, you can get used to English with the forum, it's not speaking, but helps to not lose contact with the language.

I go to a small gym, know the necessity of being active, not necessary fit, but being active is important. And in a small gym, its easier to avoid people in general.

US humor is something we grew up here in Brazil, with a lot of shows coming from there. I'm getting used to British humor, watching shows like TaskMaster, 8 of 10 Cats does Countdown, and IQ from BBC. They are host shows of comedians, and really challenging to understand just from hearing.
yes. I feel to live in a country is by far the best way to learn. I studied on myself to listen to TV and movies and learned a very small bit in school, but also, I did meet lot of tourists where I used live before i went travelling to different countries, so, when I left my English was still too basic to understand, but after 3 years I could understand so much more. This what i suggest. I know a lot of US people who talk to me and they all (the ones who are learning Japanese I mean) tell me it is very hard, especially the writing. I totally agree and offer that it is much better to spend some year in Japan to understand it much better. Portuguese is an interesting language structure and I feel it is much more complicate than English, with verbs of motion being far more advance than English and so on. Same with Spanish and Russian, or Cyrillic, so, we all have many things makes learning other language challenge and I find the best way is dedication and continue no matter what, or best not bother. For me, usually I dont bother unless i will spend time in a particular country, then I try learn what i can before go.

I think at least you are make effort. I try to make a fast pace walk for at least 20 minute every day, so, this will help with my very unfitness body lol

I used watch British show called Little Britain. This was strange humor but for me was very funny. I seen few other very old ones like the Two Ronnies and some Carryon movie comedies. I find them easy to understand mostly, and also I did watch US comedy Seinfeld and it was also funny. I notice some big difference in humor styles, and Japanese humor is nothing like USA or Brittan, so, you can easy to tell so many differences. Also, I notice USA also have different humor for Texas, The Southern States and so on. Then Canada. The list can continue on but I am sure you can understand my point.
It's good to have a basis (what you learn when studying a language in school) then practice by reading, watching shows and talk with people.
Yes but in Japan most school don't teach English and my old school teach only a few words and greetings, so, when I lived in English speaking country I had to learn many words faster because no one there can talk Japanese outside my family members. I honestly suggest to live in a country if you want learn their language properly. Youtube, reading and tutorials are great but don't quite manage the job so well but acutally I did teach myself a lot. Even to read forum things here is huge learning. I probably understand about 50% but it is some of the humor I don't understand and culture things, but I feel also some my jokes and humor is not always understood so much lol
What would you say are some of the differences between US and Japan humor? Like British humor is more dry and they use a lot more self-deprecating humor than the US. I enjoy the humor in you posts and thought think its stupid!
I think my humor is more western or just unique to me lol. I hope you don't think it is too stupid lol.

Ok, so USA Vs Japan. I think Japanese (someone once described to me) is more childlike. As in more "Lets just be dumb and have fun" Our TV shows are much more about silly foolish stunts like get dunk in tank of hungry Piranha (that's a joke BTW) or tank of goo or beat each other with foam sticks on top of a plank to push the other off. It is more on the less serious side. I notice USA humor is more serious but not serious. I don't know explain in English, but it seems more maybe dry or conservative. Also I feel you guys seem use jokes about words that have double meaning, like a secret things that can mean one thing or other. Japan doesn't used the play on words thing like USA and there are others but I think this is abut how i feel without messing up too much what I am try to say. Just completely different. Also, Japan focus movies and also some comedy (a lot actually) on family, school or social experiences in different ways.

I think what helps me with Google is that I proofread in alpha -- meaning, from finished renders in the alpha verson of the game, so I'm only translating one sentence at a time (when I come upon one that didn't get translated by the dev beforehand, which does sometimes happen.) The only catch is that Google tends to translate rather literally, but that's fine or I'd be out of a job, right? ;)
I also translate sometimes a sentence. Japanese to English I find Deeple to be very accurate. Google is not so bad but couple things it translates badly. Its more about the meaning of the sentence, but for basic use it is not so bad so far. It is good also for spell check lol
