Christmas Eve is a short, fun romp, so please check it out . Just to be clear, Siren Song is what I'm working on right now, but even though it's set 5 or 6 years in the past, it has little to no bearing on CE or NYD (or at least it doesn't right now and I haven't planned any huge tie-ins other than a cameo or two).

NYD Progress Report 7/12/24​

Hey there!

Just wanted to pop in and let y'all know that I'm finishing up work on chapter 2 of Siren Song. It should be available toward the end of the month. After that is released, it will be time for me to switch gears and pick up New Year's Day(e) where it left off.

Actually, I'm currently on vacation, and since I'm completely obsessed with these projects, I just started writing the first scene of chapter 5. This is gonna be a good one, folks. It will start the process of tying up all the loose ends that are still hanging around. We're gonna deal with the Portia issue, we're gonna find out a bit more about MC's past, and we of course will see what happens with Kaylee.
I'm super excited to get back to writing these characters. Siren Song is great, but this story has a lot more going on. It's a bit more challenging in that regard, which is fun.

Oh, and for all those concerned, I just spent yesterday hiking through Glacier National Park and didn't see a single bear. So far so good! I might live long enough to finish these stories after all!

Hey All!


Just popping in to give you some news.


It's been a little turbulent lately balancing my new job and this project, but things are smoothing out now and so is the progress on this story.


I've been battling how to fill up this day to make chapter 5 as eventful as the other chapters/days without adding a bunch of fluff and filler. To me, that is a cardinal sin in making these types of games, and I don't want to commit it. So, instead of filling up day 5 with a bunch of boring, unneeded scenes, I'm planning on combining days 5 and 6 into chapter 5. This means you guys are in for a BUNCH of...everything. Revelations, spicy stuff, funny stuff, it's gonna be a wild ride from here on out!


Things are going to start happening fast and I am so excited to get it all done and into your warm little hands!


This also means that the next chapter will be...New Year's Day, which is also going to be fun.


Alright. Enough babbling. Back to work! This thing isn't gonna finish itself!

Chapter 3 - Overall a much lighter feel than chapter 2. Lots of cools stuff happens. Brace yourself for the ending, though. It's gets pretty rough.

I have received a lot of feedback about NYD chapter 2 over the past couple of weeks. Some was good, some was not so good. All of it is greatly appreciated, so thanks! It's because of this feedback that some errors were brought to my attention. It seems that I failed at conveying certain ideas, and in doing so, kinda screwed up the whole tone/feel of the story. I Have gone back and rewritten several parts of the story. While the overarching story line hasn't really changed, the MC's character arch is much more clear. I think that this update is a much more comprehensive version of the story I originally set out to tell in chapter 2. I think it stays more true to the original tone of Christmas Eve and NYD Chapter 1.

So, feel free to download v0.2.4 and replay it to get the full understanding of what was going on in the MC's head during all of this drama, and let me know what you think.

Sorry for not getting it right the first time around, but, hey, that's what the phrase "in development" means, right?

Soooooooo, I’m seeing a lot of “it gets really dark” in this game and the Dev even made parts “skippable” cause they are not “gentle” enough.

Can someone please let me know what these points are? I’d rather not have an Raep or Molestation stuff, so I’d like to know before I jump into this. I thought this was going to be a fun game, but i don’t wanna be blind sided. Thanks! I don’t care about spoilers, whatever gives me the most context the better.
