Look at Pokémon, some recent games are done without any care and they always are the most sold games on the console.

But games and movies/TV shows are very different things. Buggy, messy games can still succeed for other reasons, such as good gameplay, story, etc. A movie/TV show with god awful writing and/or a shit story isn't going to do well, regardless of the cast, except possibly in a small, cult classic way, yet they are throwing tens or hundreds of millions of dollars at poorly written pieces of shit and expecting them to succeed. This didn't used to be the case. What the fuck happened?

I'm doing shitty. Too many meetings, and I've been given a project that has little direction but high expectations, that is only necessary because some idiot deleted a web page they shouldn't have and didn't create a backup before doing so.

Pokémon SWSH don't have good gameplay nor story, not even graphics, and was still a hit, because it's Pokémon.
Movies can just throw in fan service and many fans will like it, regardless of the quality.
Some may flop, but I think on the bigger picture one big success may cover for it, I don't know.

Damn, That's one thing I hate waking up late. I feel behind all day. Wow almost 2 years? I couldn't do that. Just need that extra day every once in awhile

Not feeling work today, and I've got too many damn meetings. There is a great deal of hurry up and wait with my job, and this week has been nothing but meetings and waiting. I'd actually rather have real work to do than sit around listening to excuses from others not doing their job.

Sorry to hear about the back. If you have recurring issues I'd recommend looking at getting an inversion table. They really do work wonders in my experience!

Target audience matters too. Pokémon (and maybe Minecraft, remains to be seen) can get away with it if they target their movie at kids who will just enjoy seeing Pikachu. Some adults are like that too but usually are fans of properties aimed more at kids anyway, they're not the Borderlands fanbase.
