Started with Dragonball Z and Outlaw Star, moved on to Trigun and Yu Yu Hakusho. Then never stopped watching it, generally into slice of life now as it generally calm and happy as everything in the world is crazy.
some great titles there, really takes me back to the toonami days

The monogatari series is my favorite because of the writing since some of the show is dialogue heavy and its filled with some unique characters.
We all know why you like it LMFAO haha jk

Single favorite is too hard to pick :(

For more recent probably Mushoku Tensei, Eminence in Shadow, Jujutsu Kaisen, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, or Frieren

For somewhat older things. Hunter x Hunter, No Game No Life, Haruhi Suzumiya, Elfen Lied, or Future Diary

And of course honorable mentions to all the toonami/4kids anime that got to me before I could know better

I bought that box set of the first season, even with a 40 dollar discount the price was very ouch. I only have so many Aniplex sets before Rightstuf bit the dust. Happy to have almost all of SAO. A lot of people dislike that show but it is a nostalgic one for me.

Eminence in Shadow was really good. Need to watch season two though.

Someone mentioned Mobile Suit Gundam , i suppose that and Macross are up there for me. But i also like stuff like the original Urusei Yatsura not the remake.

Also Lupin the 3rd, i really love Studio Ghibli as well. Have so many of these on laserdisc.
how could i forget lupin the 3rd. The castle of cagliostro is another favourite. good call skywalker.

I don't know if these are considered anime but I can say that the first cartoons I saw were Thundercats and He-Man. It has rained a lot since then and over the years I see fewer and fewer titles but sometimes I find one that attracts me. If I had to say a favorite I would say Dragon Ball because of its relevance to my childhood.

Akira is a masterpiece in my eyes. It really changed my mind about a lot of things...
still one of the most beautifully animated features ever made. fully hand drawn, amazing and iconic visuals, essence of cyberpunk. highly recommend for those that havnt seen it.

Based on pure watchtime i'd have to say One Piece. I'm at it since mid 2000's as it aired in TV here and followed it up with the subbed series online and later the manga.

But my favorite anime of all time would be Full Metal Alchemist for me.

Looking at all the new technologies and techniques they pioneered is super fun too.

One Piece, sorry im mainstream, what can i say.
One Piece anime is great, but would be so much better with all the filler deleted and the later pacing fixed lol, eventually had to swap over to the manga and working on that started from the beginning now

I had the Criterion Special Edition Laserdisc, my ex friend stole it and sold it. But at least i have the Japan Special Collection, the first issue Japan CLV, and the Criterion CLV. Wish i could find the 3 disc Trifold CAV Criterion again and not have to pay a hundred dollars for it. I have always wished i had seen a 70mm print..

didn't think it was possible, but you have awakened this lurker. also shoutout for Serial Experiments Lain, and Legend of Galactic Hero's,
