Ahhh I have seen one of those way back when I first joined, don't think I've been in one since I've gained access. I'm here for the lore not the plot. But just wanted to make sure like you originally said in your response it was being captured somewhere in case something were to happen to the thread. Unfortunately, no, the images-only companion threads aren't an image-backup of the OG thread, we don't have an automate process for that and doing that manually is crazy (we tried, for real)

Just a quick announcement about my personal life, if you don't care you can move along, nothing witty in here.

Just wanted to say, I lost my grandpa the night to yesterday, and used most of yesterday to try and process that.
It didn't come as a shock, as we were all kinda expecting it at some point, because the doctors had given him some months left.
I'm okay, and yes I was very close to him, maybe not in the last couple of years, because he had sarted to forget us.
But it still hurts to lose him.

Well. Guess it depends. If you just mean unethical to make them smarter. Probably fine regardless on that level. Smarter but still raise the now smarter ones for food consumption. Well Probably more of a cut-off then a set amount. And Probably varies depending on current levels of the animal.

Doing good. Had a game of dnd today. Space horror themed. Was good stuff. Group exploring a failed colony ship. Got damaged and ai started using the cryo-sleep crew and genetics lab to grow replacement parts. Half the ship is human bone now. Maintainaince robots half covered in flesh to hold them together. Good stuff. Lost half the npcs exploring with them already.
