Back in the day Japanese games really dominated the market. From my understanding they've basically had adult computer games since computer games became a thing, and AVNs are probably the #1 selling genre of computer games over there. (Whereas adult games from big companies basically don't exist in the West at all)

The few Western indie games I did try were not impressive to me. Then something lead to me trying Good Girl Gone Bad, and I was stunned by how well that game was done. And that lead to me finding F95, which lead to me discovering a ton of high quality games that I had no idea were around.

My first Hentai AVN was Three sister story, I loved that and downloaded a few games through Jast at the time.
My first western game was Ecchi Sensei, a game I really loved and actually supported for years. I found the game after second update I think, and this was at the time where they posted new updates every single month.

It was newgrounds and various flash games for me too. The interactive touching games were what got me hooked. I've been waiting my whole life for a properly immersive, deep complex game with good touching mechanics and repeatability.

I started with Being A DIK don't remember how I came across it exactly but I saw the renders thought they looked nice and tried it out. From there the story kept me interested and from there just branched out.

That was Kana: Little Sister. A sad, but sweet story about a guy with a sick sister, that's stuck in the hospital most of the time. At the time I didn't know Nakige was a genre, so I was caught off guard by the tone.

As for Me 2017 DMD, Dreams of Desire, Depraved Awakening, I grew to hate DMD as it was going to a route that I wasn't enjoying much, But I think Dreams of Desire and Depraved Awakening still hold up pretty well, recommend anyone beggining to take a look at them

I'm not sure what my actual first game was, but the first one I remember making a big impact on me was True Love, a Japanese dating sim from 1995 (that was released in the West in the early 2000s) that did a lot right that even a lot of games from today could learn from.

I remember Acting Lessons being a good read but it's been so long since I read it. Being a DiK has been on my list for years but I have held off waiting for it to finish on the count of me not wanting to play an unfinished sandbox game again

Yeah as time went on DMD went off the rails like most of the creators stories. His best work is Melody which is probably half the length of DMD and Sunshine Love, which he just finished this year I think.

Once In A Lifetime is in my top 5 and City of Broken Dreamers is the reason I love the Cyberpunk setting to this day!
