Yeah...the game has the "Complete" flair but I don't think it has actually been completed. Are we just waiting for an update to be posted that has already been made? Is the update yet to come? Or has the unfinished game been labeled "Complete" with no ending, just to move on to Part 2?

I remember discussion on Cuck95 (now the thread is removed) that this game in its present state was a couple of updates away from being completed. Then there was this information in the previous page of this thread that SoWP will have a separate conclusion but with a story heavily interconnected with the Personal Assistant. And now this looks like it is just abandoned in the mid-way but with a "sequel" promised soon. WTF?

I know, the Blackheart team aren't famous for thoroughly planning the development of the plot in their games and it often gets messy, but this looks like a total fuckup if this game is abandoned and a new game with the same characters is launched. Means they wrote themselves into the corner and don't know how to finish the game.

Or may be I don't understand something. but with all the contradicting information that we are given it doesn't look very rosy...

Why? There are only 4 or 5 of them, some with sequels now.

There is just first part of The Last Guardian (continuation of The Guardian story) and a short sequel (interconnection story) of Blackheart Hotel. Plus this completely unexpected sequel of SoWP, which has just been teased. Not much to play yet

It looks like they just took the latest update which the game was stuck on and called it the final. Basically, this game was the orphan child for a while now. The least celebrated of all the Studio's games.
Still, they voiced a plan to develop a sequel, but we'll see. Blackheart are known to be prone for changes of heart (no pun intended ).

And this is why I hate age setters vs simply using intended ages by default (contrary to popular opinion that's not a problem for US devs on SS, at least once they are already approved, if it were sites like All The F@llen and pompf.tv would have been shut down by the gov't long ago). I haven't played this in over a year but iirc you can get away with a range of ages. I think I made the blonde daughter (forgot her name) 13 or thereabouts. But really you can go by appearances alone like I did and it will probably still be fine. I don't recall any part of the story where teh history gets into that much detail to where you can set a "wrong" age and have it no longer make chronological sense at some point like some loli AVNs. I think all of BH's games are like that. Well, otehr than that one dialog line in PA where I set the main LI at 15 and then later during a car ride she's mentioning going back to college (got on my nerves enough I had to Unren that and change college to school like it should have been in the first place). Lolis do not go to college. Nor do 15yo hebes, period.

Not sure why BHH is still worked on. Most people hated it, like widely considered the worst game BH has made. Like Acting-Lessons-endings sucked (where MC has to pick which LI lives and dies). I'll withhold judgement for now but usually if an original sucks a remake will suck almost as much.

Well, the original BHH sucked both, in the plot and in the quality. May be they hope if they fix the quality they may still sell it. But unless they fix the huge plot holes and inconsistencies (I don't even talk about the dark themes) it will still suck.

Well I finally got the will to play this, the only one of the four I had not touched. It was quite good. I can’t wait to see more from all of the games, I mean they all seem to have set up sequels (not sure about blackheart or PA, since I have not yet finished blackheart, and we don’t know the ending of PA yet), which seem great. Love how marshal hates everyone and everyone hates marshal.

Also, expected something different from the cover girl kenzie but maybe that’s for the sequel. Just because every other one had main sidekick energy and kenzie was not that (at least what we saw, unless the saint path involves her more). Also I did not mean to play this so close to halloween, kind of a funny coincidence

I think it’s pretty obvious but I’m almost 100% sure the sequel will be the same main character. Just relax, they are not going to scrap the story. I think there will either be a time skip with a continuation of the mystery or just a continuation from day 7. If you have played the other games, most or all of them either had time skips or set up for time skips.

In any case I think an update is coming pretty soon, according to the post.

SWP1 is unfinished and will never be finished. There was supposed to be one more update but it was scrapped due to all the players hating the "Father's cult" metaplot, which caused this game to go from the game Seath liked working on the most, to the game he liked working on the least. They are just going to randomly go to SWP2 from the unfinished state of SWP1. A baffling move on the part of the dev, like shutting off a movie before its climax and then watching the sequel and having to figure out how the first movie ended from references in the second movie.

He put out a poll to subscribers and followers on Discord asking if they minded a delay in the release because he is going on vacation in November and the update won't be done by then, or if they preferred it being released as is and then another update later to finish off the content. He also asked about releasing the demo for a new dark smolls game. In the question, he described the release as:

They did. I clearly remember that. I think it was in Cuck95 thread which is now deleted. It was stated a few times that the game was to be 7 Days long. There was also the notion that it fell out of favor, because ppl did not support it. So, @Nastastic remembers exactly the same things that I do. I was going suspicious that I've gone crazy The Dev is just gaslighting us here by not saying openly what happens.

Yeah I voted against another AVN myself. For one I'm just not that into stories where the MC beats, violently rapes, tortures and maybe even kills LI's, loli or not, without even a softer choice to not do that (at least Malignant gives that option). About the worst one I can stomach is Raptus, and I have to be in a pretty dark mood/have a bad day to begin with to get into an update of that (which I'm a few behind since that doesn't happen often). Other reason is he already has 3 big ones to deal with (RWP, TLG, PA) but he said the demo is small so meh, I guess. His current 3 are great but it will suck if he adds a 4th for an AVN I'll probably have no interest in and have to skip an update cycle when it's that one's turn.

Crap, ok 4. Didn't he put the resurrection/completion of Proud Father on hold because he had too much on his plate already? I'd rather see that finsihed first before all this new stuff.
