For all what I can recall, I read the books 100 years ago, IMO, in the Anne Rise universe is hard to give a human sexuality to the vampires, they are beyond that. They are attracted more for the person than the genre. There is an implicit sensuality on their actions, but not sexuality. This sensuality and not to care too much about the genre my give the impression to be sissy, but I don't think it can be applied to them. Regarding the melodrama, yeah, plenty of it. If you ever need a game to play with your friends as a group I recommend spyfall. I played it last night with 4 people. The idea of the game is that there’s a place 1/26 that 3/4 are in. One person was the spy. The goal is to ask someone a question relating to this area without giving the area away. For example if the building was (the bank) you can ask something stupid like (would have an umbrella in here?) the spy would reply something stupid giving him away. Once everyone feels like this person is the spy they can vote on this person. If they get it wrong the spy wins. If everyone votes on the spy and gets it right but the spy guesses the 1/26 location right they win. It’s a very fun game free on any phone with internet access. Just type in “Spyfall” and give it a try.
