I'll pass along some advice from @-Bonk- that I've found extemely helpful during my deep dive back read the past couple days:

A little advice that helped me tremendously. Open 2 tabs, one for the frontline the other where you're backreading. Stay on the frontline !! When it gets slow or every few minutes go chip away a little of the backread. Otherwise you'll always be behind. There was a time for about 2-3 weeks where i got home and had 40-70 pages to read to get caught up. After 6 or so hours i would finally reach the frontline then have to go to sleep. Rinse and repeat. Hope you give this a try, if you do message me and let me know how it's working for ya - Bonky ❤️

Also I know you said you are a big back reader but just in case you find this useful here's this Backreaders Team Guide

I think for a thread like this I'll skip the backreading, I'll just pop in once in a while, fast scroll past all the gifs, and pop back out :p

You won't bait me into it, anon670-1! I am stronger than that!

I hate going to car lots but everyone in my area thinks their used car is the same price as dealer cars...

Aaaah, tyvm! I knew I saw that adorable lazy eyed look somewhere! I love Amelia 🥰

The reason they want it to go to arbitration is because then with no trial there will be nothing that is made a matter of public record like it would for a trial. No information about food handling processes or how they could have failed to allow the events that caused the death to happen. No park employees being brought in to provide evidence on working conditions/pressures or management and employee communications regarding concerns raised about health and safety isssues, no contract experts being brought in to testify about the legality and ethics of the 'contract' terms and conditions, which depending on how they may have been applied in any other cases that have occured may have wide reaching effects, but probably most importantly from a Disney corporate perspective it kills any reporting that could be considered detrimental to Disney that would cost them even more money on crisis management and reputational repair as well as the cost of appeal after appeal if the initial case went against them and a large set of damages were awarded. I'm sure there are other aspects of a trial that I am not thinking of at the moment that could shed a potentially unflattering light on Disney and it's business practices should it get that far.
I agree with you that Disney is asking for it because they think arbitration puts them in a better position than a trial. But the idea that the TOC for a park ticket applies at all is the part that's unconscionable, I'd imagine you could have a contract to do some dangerous work where the parties could agree to arbitration for injury or wrongful death claims, but in that case both parties are aware that's what they are agreeing to.

Hi guys,
Can anyone please tell me the dimensions in pixels or cms that fit the profile banner exactly please?
I'm also guessing that same rules apply to the banner pics as avatars.........
I have added a temporary one (which I expect to have removed at some point) just to try and work out what fits.
Thanks.

I agree with you about the unconscionable argument regarding the TOC's as protection. If anything it's extremely cynical and shows an utter disregard for consumer rights and expectations. That's why I hope it will go to trial as opposed to arbitration because I fear that if they are allowed to come to an agreement in secret there will be no way to 'hold their feet to the fire', as it were, in order to force them to change for the benefit of their consumers.
Kind of, off-topic but it's why I go into a cold sweat whenever I hear about companies pushing for loosening or abolishing what they claim are restrictive regualtions or even worse, going to a self-regulating system. These regulations and laws are there to protect the average citizen from the excesses that can occur with no oversight. As examples of what companies can and will do if they think they are above the law I would give DuPont regarding Teflon, or Perdue Pharma regarding Oxycontin or perhaps even more egregiously the entire global financial industry and the sub-prime mortgage crisis and its fallout.
