So i woke up today got on here to see this:
You must be registered to see attachments

this is just some of it.
apparently if you are not a extrovert that wright fucking essays in every post you can just fuck off from this forum???
in the posts: what drink do you have while gaming? i said coffee and soda. and apparently that wasn't enough. but other people are just posting 1 word or just a picture of a beverage and its all good.
and thats just one of the posts. same goes for many of them. people wright less than me but mine gets removed.

I grew up in a time before internet. im used to look people in the eyes when im talking to them. and im not english speaking so this forum shit is awkward to me but im forced to do it because of your point system.

If a mod runs into multiple short spamlike posts from the same person it is pretty common to take a quick look at all posts the user wrote and if everything is spamlike they dont bother to read the topics and just mass delete the spamlike posts.
And dont annoy mods, even if it not seems like it, some of them are humans and give you a payback.

P.S:
I also grew up without internet and i'm german. Doesnt matter, we are here for mostly english games and your complaining is easy to read, so you should be able to write full sentences in other topics as well.
But check out the offtopic, there are topics for/in other languages.

I am not a native English speaker either, but this online translator helps me a lot:

Just try to expand your thought, besides comments consisting of one or two words are just not interesting to read. I too am an adult (I'm 44) and I too grew up and formed as a person in the pre-internet era. But nevertheless I have adapted and do not experience any difficulties.
There are a lot of non-English speaking people here, and I don't think anyone will reproach you for some mistake or clumsy idiom.
More confidence and everything will be fine.

If you grew up in a time before internet, it means you have been alive for the whole of the life of the internet. You should have more experience with it, not less.
The mods are people, they are just doing what they can to protect the forum from having 1000 "rum and coke" posts between real content. The choice is simple. Live with the occasional deleted post, or put in some more effort.
When did i say that i was permenantly on the internet???
My point is that i havent been permenantly on the internet. i grew up outside of the internet. not fucking on it. so no i shouldnt have more experience with it.
when i make my short comments, than is me making an effort!!! we are not all sosial butterfies like you.
so ye i guess the choice is simple. im stuck with 2% intrest from bank because fuck people with sosial problems i guess

I guess moderators take anything less than 20 words as a "low effort content", I can't say much I'm also new and I got threads removed because someone made one similar years ago so I just can just advice you to be careful or u will lose a lot of lc coin

Hi @fallfallen! Let me reuse something I wrote before, it might help you out:

Monokumas 5 Step Program for making sure your post isn't low effort!
Not yet trademarked

Step 1: Consider - Could a Bot type this?
If you write a message that's indistinguishable from a bot, then it's likely a low effort post.
Example: "Look at the page number" or "Wow good thread"

Step 2: Consider - Could this be a react?
If you write a message that could simply be a react, then it's likely a low effort post.
Example: "I like this picture" or "I like this game"

Step 3: Consider - Is this a reply? Or a brand new discussion?
If you write a message which is a reply, ensure you're clicking the reply button. If it's a brand new topic for discussion, ensure it's more than just 1 basic question.
Example: Instead of "What does everyone think about X?" maybe go for "What does everyone think about X? Personally, I think....."

Step 4: Consider - Could a Gif be added?
If you write a message that could employ the use of an appropriate gif, add a gif! This way, Mods know you thought about your message enough to source an appropriate gif
Example:

Step 5: Consider - Learning to stop worrying and enjoy the thread.
This step applies to the Lurkers Hangout, where this was originally posted, but still:
Honestly, the best thing you can do, is just get involved. Try using the "Reply" tip first and foremost, that'll get you known to the group, and you'll build rapport with users and mods alike. From there, you can post with a little less caution (no reckless abandon, but still...). Regular uses "get away" with slightly less effort, since we're known here and our personalities are known - that's why I can get away with just flaunting a gif as a reply to someone. If a stranger comes in and simply says a few words, they're subjected to the scrutiny of all the things I've listed above.

And that's it!
But in regards to either A: being from before the internet or B: being a non-native speaker... That applies to so many of us here! Some of our regulars are 40+ and not from English speaking countries. So, you can do it, I believe in you!
In rergards to why some of your posts were removed, but others weren't. Consider - if they post 1 spammy message, then it'll probably be left. But if a user is found with quite a few spammy messages, all made very quickly, it looks a lot more like spam... That's why some 1 word answers might have been left, whereeas your 5 word answer was removed. It might not be per message, just looking at your account as a whole.

Overall it's pretty simple actually.
Game threads are for engagement, not a simple "Cute girls" or "I like the story", this can be done with a reaction, no need to posts. Also game threads are much harsher looked at, because it's the first thing users try to spam low effort stuff to farm coins.

Also, be careful how fast you post, there is a cooldown for earning coins from posting (90 seconds) and if all your posts are just with a minute or two apart from each other, it can quickly be seen as spamming.
And as mentioned before, as soon as you get noticed, mods will check your posts because they might also be just to farm coins.

But I agree that it's strange that a "coffee and soda" got deleted.

So write a ticket and ask the mods what's going on, nobody is going to bite you or punish you as long as you don't act like a dick. ;)

Most here aren't "social butterflies" or native english speakers. Nobody will care too much if you use broken english. ;)

If this is the kind of communication you are used to in person (cursing and yelling instead of stating your case) then that sounds more like entitlement.

Post 1 small remark a week: low chance (I think) a bot will flag it suspicious, that's just low effort. Post a few small remarks a day and it will get noticed and perhaps judged as low effort en masse, ie spam. Is it right for everyone? Debatable, but there are more civilized first responses to a perceived injustice.
If the rules say "please no low effort posts" then it doesn't matter if others still do it, you (and they) shouldn't. Other people speeding on the highway isn't your carte blanche to do it as well.

And for the record: I too was alive before commercial internet, I'm an introvert, and not really a fan of conversing with people in a forum format (this post already took 15min of my time). I will, however, slowly and politely grind my way to my desired goal as per site's rules :(

I suggest to go to all those threads and repost your comment but more fleshed out. Like explaining when you choose what beverage or just why those 2 specifically. Doesn't need to be much, just a bit more content/context so it becomes more informative. (y)

There are no bots, only mods and users who report if they think it's suspicious.

Probably just looked at the length of them all, judged they were all short, regardless of context and <select all> + <delete>.
🤷‍♂️

No automatic detection scripts or something? Well, doesn't really matter I think.

Your double post reminds me of another reason why posts might get deleted for spam, one should use the multi-quote function if one replies to several posts in the same thread, otherwise mods delete and/or merge the posts.

Here a guide to it -> How to use Multi-Quote / Multi-Reply

The 2th post was a reply to something that was posted while I was typing and couldn't see it. Yeah, I could have gone back and added a quote and a reply to my original post, technically speaking..... Not a big deal imo, but still a fair (albeit technical) point, so I shall endeavor to do so from now on.

Sadly the forum software will not send an alert/notification to the quoted user if one inserts a quote afterwards with an edit.
