Back after some time, but seems all the old threads and posts are nowhere to be found? Oh well, trying this no-lurking thing once again...

Got back myself a couple days ago. I left before anything like this 'lurk hideout' existed. The main reason was cuz I just wasn't comfortable with interacting with anyone really. But for my surprise, it looks easier here. It's a very entertaining thread even if you don't interact and just reads and try to understand the bazillion random topics being discussed simultaneously. Stick around and I think it'll grow on you.

I got 2024 monqrus version (from a private torrent site) I have an older system (Intel i5 750, 16 GB RAM, EVGA 760 GTX) and it works okay. The generative fill (AI stuff) is not available for me, but it's paywalled after a couple weeks anyway. It hangs up a little on start and doing intensive processes, but I'm happy for the price


Naps are my enemy in general.

yeah on old hardware i was still on win7 and 10y old hardware so was serious issue with newer software. good to know that is working tho.
and ai stuff doesnt work for anyone, but dud did said when they will make 24 version final that he will integrate whole package in to it. still even without it the improvements in 24 version are great.

as naps goes so are mine, but when body tells you go fuck your self and take a nap, cant do much.

All this nap talk going on makes me think about when your young would hate taking them. Parents make you. Now hell I look forward to the weekends and can take a nap during the day. I'd do it everyday if I didn't have to work

First I'm impressed with the amount of lewd games on your computer, I would probably just by an external HDD to move them over to. Too bad the prices went up since I last bought one.

Assuming you're not accessing all of it often you can apply some strong compression on it to get some space back, if it's renpy games it may do pretty good as the runtime is going to be mostly the same between them though images aren't going to do great compression wise.

Otherwise for keeping all of the data storage isn't particularly expensive now so you could just buy an another larger drive

back up the zip files and any old versions of the games and then delete them, that usually frees up a significant amount of space for me.

I presently use a 1Tb external for the VNs I keep. So far it's enough. When it isn't, I may edit, or just get a bigger external.

Spend $100 and get a 4TB SSD external. As long as you're not moving shit back and forth all the time, it'll last you many many years.

ty for your responses guys. Seems like I should just deal with the long transfer times and upgrade HDD as needed or get a nice external SSD.
Also those tips about compressing games I don't play as much anymore and backing up zips only rather than my entire folder are really handy. Appreciate it!

That's much better than what I was trying to put together. Since the name looked like it could be pronounced similar to "phallus", I was looking for a decent cartoon/3d "shaft" oriented the proper direction, and then give it a fox head and tail.

Found lot's of fox stuff, but no good "shafts" going the right direction.

yeah planned naps are fine, but unplanned that came out of nowhere, when potentially you still got stuff to do are annoying
but when you play with zombie nation

and getting 3/4h of main sleep per day per duration are also required for normal body function
specially when you are walking among zombies for a year or more. - well i have been there and am too old to repeat it.
sleep is nice if you can get it uninterrupted.

yeah if only 5gb that's nothing for those days, but yeah for sure you would need recent tech and good version of it to run it. that part is not surprising.

First impression after so much time is that everything looks a lot 'flashier' than I remember, like everybody got an amazing customized profile and whatnot. I also did hesitate a bit before posting since this felt like entering a crowded bar and asking for directions standing in the middle of the room

Hey, the new HDD are USB 3.1, so transfer times are pretty decent actually.
