Bitcoins, for Kavinsky. He's using them to fund the new Latest Updates page.

Nice good stuff any names you want to drop?
I think You misunderstood, I edited their games because they were making them stupidly hard by the end, not that I worked with/for them.
And, no, I won't drop names because of 2 reasons:
1- I don't remember them.
2- I added my known internet alias in the games, so I kind of would be doxxing myself if someone managed to find them :ROFLMAO:

Bitcoins, for Kavinsky.
At least its going to a worthwhile cause then.

Got it thanks. Even for games or "just" straight AI art ?
Just art. Mostly AI stuff (and basically nothing too interesting anymore, anything in p4 is mainstream enough that you can find it anywhere).

Pretty sure I still see games on the page, I think their concern is that if we have tons of randos posting AI art the forces of evil will slip poison pill art in, ie art that has no-no images in its training set even if it doesn't actually appear illegal.

Like Go Fish if you're trying to sound fancy.
In what alternate dimension is "Pairs" fancier than "Go Fish"? :ROFLMAO:
Person 1: I'm gonna go play "Chutes and Ladders".
Person 2: Oh, you mean "Ups and Downs"...
Person 1: *Bang* (Person two falls to the ground clutching a fatal gunshot wound).
As I understand it the story, or legend if you prefer, behind the difference in style between the Hobbit and LotR is sort of summed up like this;

The Hobbit, Tolkien wrote as a story for his son to enjoy. The Lord of the Rings he wrote for himself.
Nice. When did you decide on the Cylon Raider pfp? :p
When all that started I was happy. I was even buying all the special editions of the Marvel movies even if the movie was bad, just to have the make-off and the extras. Several of the collector editions had also comic book reportages. I had no trouble they decided to change the story of a character in a movie to make it more modern or appealing to the audience. Different medium, target audience, time and rules. All fine.

But more success had the movies, more impact had them in the comic books to the point to start changing the characters to fit the ones in the movies. A couple of examples: erase the marriage of Peter Parker as it never had existed, change the appearance and the personality of many characters to fit the actors and their acting. But worst, it made Marvel Comics a target of Disney and they bought it. So, slowly more and more the strategic and political decisions of the mother company reached the comic books. There are still good stories and good artists there, but the overall, at least for me, is bad, really bad. It reached a point where I was buying without actually reading what I was buying. So I told my self "wtf are you doing!?" So no more Marvel comics or movies for me.
To be fair (to be fair) IF you're talking about the current MCU. Peter Parker being married in High School would just seem odd- yes, they've kinda ret-conned re-told his story again...but if you look at the actual "Infinity Gauntlet" had they told like it was in the books (which I LOVED), it wouldn't have translated well into a movie.
The only real issue I had with it was WHY would the Mad Titan care if the universe was overpopulated, underpopulated, or just empty (save for him and his Lady Death [not the Chaos Comics one] to rule alone. Making his motivation seem like an altruistic gesture was just so out of character for Thanos. He wanted and was doing it for selfish reasons. To impress his Lady Love (which backfired horribly, but so have every single one of my relationships, go figure). Thanos was, is, and always will be a Conqueror.
He was going toe-to-toe againt Celestials BEFORE he had the Infinity Gauntlet. Thanos was a bad ass- not a savior.
The one time he did something nice was to restore the OG Captain Marvel back to health for the sole purpose of FIGHTING him.

The movies have tainted and corrupted the books, but tbth, I've been done with the books (Marvel and DC, specifically) right around the time DC started 52 and Marvel had their own fuck-knuckle cross-over thing going on at the same time (can't remember what it was called).
WHEN crossovers started, originally, they were fun. It was new and entertaining to see heroes within the same Universe interact with each and it made the world seem that much larger- "Secret Wars" and "Crisis on Infinite Earths" were engaging and well told stories at the time. It should've been saved for special events.

Little did we know, back then, it was solely for the purpose of pumping money into titles that probably would've been canceled if not for the fact that we not only had to buy 5-10 more books a month to get the whole story...it either had a Core title running concurrently OR the crossovers were the build up to that story (that was going to be 12 more books we had to buy).
Again, had they only done it say every other year, maybe two- it wouldn't be so bad, BUT they haven't stopped- there are still crossovers that have been going on for years at this point AND the greedy fucks expect you to buy all 8 variant covers, the "virgin" cover, the incentive cover, the gatefold cover, the puzzle pieces covers, the Con-Exclusive covers- which all contain the EXACT same fucking story. It was, is, and from now until the end of time is complete and total rip-off.

OR every couple of years they just, for whatever reason, decide to ret-con any character for the Hell of it. WHY? Because now you have to buy all those books too for the NEW origin, NEW heroes, NEW villains, NEW Crap.

Don't even get me started on the "Lazarus Pit" effect... You die. You stay dead. "The Death of Captain America" was a great story, the build-up was excellent, the climax/twist unexpected. Should. Have. Left. It. At. That.

I'm pretty sure that bull-shit little scam started with McFarlane's run on "Spider-man"... HOW many variants were there, reprints, exclusives, commemorative issues, anniversary issues. Don't get me wrong- loved his run...even though (pretty sure) NO other artist has made Peter Parker contort his body into those agonizing looking poses... :ROFLMAO:

I'm not 100% certain, but I think Marvel did it first and DC followed suit.
Yeah, I'm sure nothing will give them a real sense of satisfaction than holding my ar'tard hand... :ROFLMAO:

How are you today OG SD?
Anything planned for Wednesday?
Yup. Non-solo D&D involves... those... THINGS... called... PEOPLE.
Besides, if we stretch D&D to RPG, not only can I play Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights, but I can add the non-ESO Elder Scrolls.

And, of course, playing solo means I never once have to hear "L2P Noob." or whatever passes for it today, of course, prompting me to over-react by:
Of Course.jpg
Ewwww, people. :ROFLMAO:

I kinda see that, but D&D was kinda meant to wrangle the losers and nerds together- at least we, uh, they learned how to interact socially within a group, you had similar interests, you strategized together, you fought together, you died together. It was a bonding experience that not only fueled your imagination and creativity- it sometime *shudder* allowed you to make friends.

If you take that element out of D&D- it's just fantasy solitaire. You can't plot against yourself- like you would collectively against a DM and ruin his hours upon hours of meticulous planning for a dungeon crawl that made him so hard his pecker punched him in the face...only for you to decide the party wanted to pick flowers or talk to that one NPC he mentioned ONCE like 5 games ago...or break out that Forgotten Realms or Ravenloft campaign that someone bought at the comic shop and vote to play that instead.

So, it sounds like you may or may not have flipped yet another table? ;)
it has become pretty popular since the pandemic, I have a couple of friends that play it alone, sometimes just because, others to test things.
I can kinda see that, BUT from what I did see in that picture- you're given puzzle pieces to "build" a dungeon, monster cards, encounter cards, and treasure cards? I'm guessing you pick you race and class from 1 of 8 predetermined cards and play it?
Where's the fun of rolling a character sheet? The adventure looks pretty "fixed", unless there's booster packs or something to buy (which I'm sure there are because how will company make any money?) the replayability looks pretty limited.
D&D has a vast history and lore that is covered in so many manuals, modules, campaigns, and add-ons that it appears to just a snippet of what "real" D&D is and how it should be played. Just my $0.02. (f'in BT KB...)

Maybe there's more to it that just from what I'm seeing in the pictures, but my life is sad and lonely enough without the constant reminder that I'm now playing D&D by myself. :ROFLMAO:
