still up, i am in my own time zone, been reading some manga, God of Blackfield got update of 18 chapters. if only all other would take that example then i might remember what half of them are even about.

I too have not gotten to read manga in a while, been bouncing around some light novels lately but then never bothering to read the manga because the novel had so much more detail.

I have to say I kinda agree with this- even in the comics. We get it Lord Vader IS a bad ass. I think the biggest problem with Star Wars is that "There's always 2 rule". Wouldn't it be nice to see more than one Sith Apprentice/Sith Lord at the same time?

Vader is the ONLY badass for the majority of the media.
Unless you count Force Unleashed. Which I don't.

Also, also what was the deal with those "laser gates" in Episode 1? The fuck were they for even? AND why couldn't Qui-gonn and Obi-Wan just force dash through them when they were open like when they hauled ass from the Droideka?

They have a similar mechanic in the new Jedi Survivor game. The shields are used to block off an energy weapon. In the movie, it's a hallway monitor for some reason.
Cal Kestis has to force dash past and through them.

On the plus side- it did mean that there would be no sequels. It is it's own encapsulated story. It helped to drive the plot for movies that, well, we knew what happened 20 years ago, but still no sequels. Silver linings?
Admittedly, THAT was one of the coolest things to happen to Star Wars in a long time...

The Vader hallway scene did more to portray him as a menacing villain than anything the the first 6 episode movies IMO.

Definitely a top 5 for me. Emperor's New Groove was a pretty solid one too. Surprisingly, Netflix has a children's movie in my top 5 as well, Klaus.

Never watched Klaus, but Emperor's New Groove is very good, too. I think it is more popular here in Brazil than it is in the USA, the dub really killed it.
