I don't know if you watched the series, but there is a play on the sounds of that sentence that shocked the fans. The translators around the world had to try to translate keeping the meaning but at the same time the phonetic play. Let's put the Japanese guy that has to keep something that sounds like "hold the door" but the direct translation he has is "doao akeru" or the Italian translator who has "tieni la porta". All them had a really hard time finding something in their languages that convey both things.

I agree with you on that, it is a real pity that those kind of series have become the norm nowadays with the House of the rainbow mouse being the major supporter of that.

Quite the conundrum you have there XD, but if I'm being honest the Acolyte is just an ultra feminist rant about inclusion and women power with little regard or respect to all that the original 6 movies showed us, and don't take me wrong, I'm not against inclusion or women being the main lead on a movie/game/series, but not in the way that is has been made in the acolyte.

Not that much of a conundrum really. I am comfortable with not watching those shows. Seeing the way that they handled the Marvel and Star Wars properties in the movies they did have tempered my enthusiasm for the TV shows. It's just over-saturation. I mean I couldn't have been the only one who saw the first film of the sequel trilogy and thought, 'oh someone has just cherry-picked their favourite parts of the other movies and put them in one film'. There felt like there was very little in it that was original and not overly telegraphed, plus the drive to have the ships and stations get even more oversized from movie to movie just seemed so cartoonish to me. Bigger is not always better. Plus the worst part of writing/set up of the whole trilogy to me came as two moments with the end of episode 8 having the Resistance virtually wiped out with no, or at the least very few, allies left which follows through into the start of episode 9 and then they magic up a huge fleet off-screen out of absolutely nowhere. The scale of swing was so ridiculous that it struck me as purely for spectacle and had little to do with making a cogent, coherent story. But then again J.J. Abrams has history of projects they are involved in having disappointing endings. I submit Alias and Lost as examples.

I miss when we had actual badass female character in movies the most. True, some where playing roles made for men, but the actress carried it and made it hers. They did not need the male characters to be lame in order to shine.
It's even more obvious when they use an existing character and they don't now what to do with it. The last one I even attempted to watch was tomb raider(2018) and could not make it through the whole thing.

i use photoshop for that, does takes some doing
here you can see for yourself how is done - doesn't wana upload psd - in attach
but basically i usually do like that, i use gif site to attach the head (cause am lazy and still haven't took time to look how to do in ps (the tracking) - you can). (if head doesn't move it is easier to do in ps also cause that gif site tend to jump around sometimes.)
and then you need modified and original, what ever gets over the face you cut from original and apply on modified as layer, paste in pace - layer by layer.
that coffee took me over to 2h to make (sometimes you are lucky and select options select whole thing you need, but with this one i had to manually additionally select each frame(cutting part)), you have to modify each layer and then all depend on how long gif is, or movie clip.

but if you are thinking only about removing background, its same thing layer by layer removing it, photoshop does have automatic option, but it always require some additional selection, best to do it properly right away or you can burn 5x more time on it, like my shrug gif example, have burn day and half on it for fixes.

Do I have to project myself into fiction to enjoy it? Absolutely.
It's tough going since I prefer villains to win in mainstream stories. I couldn't give a fuck about almost any heroes. It's similar with porn.

just about everybody here and most of them on the fly. But only 1 took more
than an hour. I made 5 on the fly since i got home 3 hours ago.

I remember watching episode 7,8,9 and thinking that it was some kind of fanfiction made movie, it has one of the most ridiculous premises of this new generation of movies with rey being a Mary Sue that surpassed sith that have being trained for most of their life by some of the most powerful beings in the universe with only a 15 minute trainingmontage, but the thing that I remember the most is wanting to edit the part when rey destroys the enemy fleet with her powers in the last movie, so that she shouts "White Power" as the enemy fleet is blasted to oblivion in the most posible meme way and then watch the world burn.

It all honesty, Disney has become a cesspool of wokism and ultra feminism that at this point just want to ruin every movie posible for the heck of it.

well if all you attach is head, it doesnt require much time, unless you are attaching 20 heads
thats photoshop file. where you got all the layers and shit.
but if you want to make it properly it takes time, cant be rushing much cause usually any fixes takes just more time.
and you get better each time you do something so you got something out of it.

I'm gonna have to disagree with that. The problem to me feels more like they want to include those themes, strong female characters and all that jazz, but the writing is so fucking atrocious that it feels like they just shoved those things in for internet points.
When, in my opinion, most everything they release nowdays has shit writing, 'woke' or not.

But then again, if you feel that way, you do you.

Same men, I really wonder how it is posible to throw so much money down the drain in several movies and series that have been a rotund failure and don't have a care in the world, especially with Disney being the kind of company that sued an school trying to collect money by playing some of their old princess movies.

On a side note, have you watched the last serie of the LOTR? I haven't watched it and want to have an honest opinion if I should watch it or not, as I'm a fan of the books and the original trilogy.
