Yeah metal fatigue issues can be relatively easily and quickly repaired. Especially on airframes that have been in use for a long period of time and have a trend history across all the built airframes as to where the problem areas are and repair schemes designed. The bigger issues are aging wiring and corrosion due to surface finish damage and exposure to corrosive environments like salt water.
