i enjoyed the game the first few times i played it. got tired of starting from scratch every time a new update came out. i think they make to much money on this game to let it end. so they think of ways to stretch it out.

Well at this point can't say I'm not surprised but this was one of the best games years ago.

Nowadays though there are better games to play.

I still remember the first time i tried it, it fucking blew my mind, it was literally nothing compared to it, you wanted to see more and more and then it hitted you in the face: "Work in progress" but it didn't matter, because every ~2 months or so you were going to play the next update.
Now it's just nostalgia.

The problem is that this game, at its core, belongs to the past decade. And now it looks rather archaic. When I first saw it in 2018, I was pleasantly surprised, light story, humor (even if not perfect), clear story. A year and a half later came the disappointment - too many side storylines, Anon turned into some kind of stud producer, finally, the entanglement of politics (I'm a foreigner, I'm not interested in the internal US discussions). Graphics - if you look calmly and distractedly, the faces of all the characters are created according to the same template.
All in all now, in the summer of 2024, I rate this game as follows (considering I missed the 2020-22 updates).
Story - 5 out of 10;
Graphics - 4 out of 10;
Character development - 2 out of 10;
Content Quality - 5 out of 10.
Gameplay - 6 out of 10.
That is, before us we have a mediocre game, which remained in its era. Yes, many (including me) warmly remember the first acquaintance with it, but time goes forward, there are many other quite worthy and more serious projects, here the developer, instead of completing the almost finished project and move on, continues to exploit the same idea, which once appeared at the right time and in the right place. This is a dead-end path. I tried playing around with the new release today - just boring. What once delighted has stopped working. As they say, you can't step into the same river twice.

This one (the original version) has been a favourite for a long time. I added the SPH patch (however, not so found of it), and it triggered some events that I had not managed to trigger before. I wonder if it is worth playing the new version.
