I understand your pain, but I recommend seriously not to get excited about the new content at least for a while longer. It's a great game, but from what I understand we still have to wait 6 months for the Roxxy update... Or am I wrong?
As we mentioned in our last news post, not all of the Tech Update content is
available yet. We have been working extensively on all aspects of Summertime
Saga and now have most key systems and art in place. Starting with this release
we are switching our focus to bringing familiar content into the new engine and
releasing our progress every 2 months. As well as moving over existing content,
we will also be slipping in some new additions for players to enjoy each update.

- Reimplemented routes for Miss Bissette, Miss Okita, and Miss Ross.
- Partially completed route for Miss Dewitt, with the rest due back in a future update.
- Restored Judith mini-route, with fully updated character art.
- Added a new event for Debbie in the kitchen at the end of her route.
- Introduced a second Jenny cunni animation (for submissive Anon).
- Reworked Jenny GFE ending with dominant and submissive variants and new animations.
- Added back remaining Debbie events including laundry, garage, movie, panties, and bedroom.
- Enabled most of the NPCs usually found at and around the college.
- Restored Jenny confrontation about sleeping with Debbie.
- Connected up menu and location music as well as ambient sounds.
- Allowed pregnant variations of Jenny's visit scene to be unlocked in cookie jar.
- Updated crowd art for various locations, mainly around the college.
- Expanded the available replays to include all currently playable lewd content.
- Updated quick menu placement, and made it always available when enabled in settings.
- By popular demand, re-introduced a cheat menu.
- Restored some missing dialogues, including Debbie's shower scene.
- Prevented some conflicts between Jenny and Debbie quests.
- Addressed transition timing issue in old art animations.
- Prevented scenario in which the wrench could be purchased more than once.
- Fixed potential for unintentional save deletion when using the delete key.
- Improved a few prop descriptions to avoid accidental spoilers.
- Added better names for some locations when being displayed on the back button.
- Clarified wording on mode select screen around why only one mode is currently available.
- Updated to Ren'Py version 8.2.3.
- Fixed various spelling, transition, and staging oversights.

scammertime saga is a real inspiration. assuming it keeps to the update schedule, by the time all the old content is back it will have been a full 6 years since any substantial new content would have been made for the game. and in that time dark cookie will have made give or take just under million per year. wish i could make just shy of 6 million dollars for doing almost nothing of note for 6 years... im in awe of dark cookies brilliance.

From the summer of 2016. The saddest part is that there are too many bugs in this “technical update”. We'll probably have to either wait for the bugfix or just wait a couple more years, maybe the original content will be restored in the meantime (not sure).
I was impressed with the game once, but I gave up on it sometime in late 2019. Tried to run it today - was very unpleasantly surprised by its problems.

Amazing! There were 2 new sex scenes. It was definitely worth the wait!!!
Yeah I don't think it will ever be finished and it'll probably take another few years just to add back all the cut content.
Reason why I hate developers who remaster their games.

If they continue to release updates every 2 months, all the old content should be back by the end of next year. The issue is that this game is almost 10 years old. There is still content that needs to be reworked like mia, erik and his mom and debbie. And you still have characters like judith that barely have any content. So even if after the rework if he goes back to release 1 story update every 6 months, it will still take at least another 5 years to finish this.
There is no excuse for that when you're making around 500k per year.
Well at this point can't say I'm not surprised but this was one of the best games years ago.

I would say that it is still a pretty good game. In the 2d game category, there aren't really many games that can compete with this one. But for people that have been following it for a few years, right now it's hard to care about it.
