In the UK it used to be that the BBC could afford to get the broadcasting rights from the IOC so a lot of it was free to air and with the advent of streaming they were showing a lot of different events. Now Eurosport through WB Discovery have the rights across whole of Europe and the UK with BBC paying for a much reduced product from them, and sadly the only way to get Eurosport in the UK I know of is with a Sky subscription which I can't afford. Ultimately it seem's like the limiting factor on how much we can watch from home these days is broadcast rights contracts and the money paid for them rather than the actual technology required to broadcast that much sporting action.I knew a person in Taekwondo in the Olympics 8 years ago, it was nearly impossible to watch. I couldn't even watch it live, nobody had it live, just replays. Must be a USA thing, nobody watches it here, so why bother broadcasting?
