TLDR:

• You have to deposit funds into the bank to make interest
• You have to click the collect interest button to receive your interest
• The more you have, the more you make

I posted this on the + forums but it occurred to me that it would be helpful for those who can't access that yet to be able to see it.

I deposited yesterday and collected interest today and this is my recommendations on how to use the bank. If you are trying to gain coins I would strongly recommend using it as compounding interest will add up with time. Please note your milage will vary depending on the amount you have to work with. However this works the same as the real world. The more you have the more you earn.

So basically, you deposit funds, wait 24h and then click collect. The interest is then added to your bank instead of your wallet. Which I like as this leads to compounding interest, without out having to deposit funds unless you want to. From now on I will probably also add my wallet funds after collecting interest to further increase this. Please note that this should be done only after you collect interest instead of before as it will reset the interest clock.

Assuming you reinvest and collect every day without adding more on top from your post and received likes:

30 Days:
Start with 100 LC end with 134
Start with 1,000 LC end with 1,347
Start with 10,000 LC end with 13,478

60 Days:
Start with 100 LC end with 181
Start with 1,000 LC end with 1,816
Start with 10,000 LC end with 18,166

However adding coins on top every day really changes things:

30 Days:
Start with 100 LC, add 100 every day on top of interest, end with 3,613
60 Days:
Start with 100 LC, add 100 every day on top of interest, end with 8,348

essentially you need 100 days just to get back what you put and only then you will start making profit
it really don't seems to worth it, maybe if you put something like 10k+? but then again - you already have 10k+

Hey Danv, just bear in mind that since it's compound interest it accumulates a little more quickly. Even if it dropped to one percent again, your money will still double in 72 days rather than 100. At two percent, it's every 36 days. In you divide the interest rate into 72, it'll give us a very close number of days before things double.

It was a thing here. But I guess of legally reasons it stopped a while.
Cause you can buy coins with real money and gamble with it. So the laws of gambling web sites would have taken account. But that´s only an assumption of mine and some other user.

I'm not shaming, you can go a week without drinking soda, but it's really easy to get coins just write posts on the forum and for every post you get 5 coins, if someone likes them you get an extra 5 coins for every like. Or you can make a donation and support the site, also a good option.

The fact that you have to collect the coins with a button is kinda lame.

If the idea behind the coin system is to keep bad actors out, even just a passive interest of 2 percent would be enough to keep people below 750 for a super long time without participating in the forum.

Believe me the Bank is there to collect coins additionally, I was curious how long it would take to get 450 coins. So I calculated, to reach 450 coins with a daily interest rate of 2% and an initial deposit of 8 per avatar change would take about 204 days! But after writing a little and you get coins mega fast, in one day I have more than 100 coins in the bank. But as you say without participation it will take you ages to collect it.

This is the part probably you're talking about, but I think you can post as much you want. Keep in mind that if you were to add those 60-100 coins to the bank every day or every other day, you would be gaining coins mega fast.

And here is an anti-spam measure in form of a cooldown timer:
To maintain the quality of discussions and fairness of rewards, we have implemented a 1 minute 30 seconds cooldown timer. This ensures that each action (posting, thread creation, reacting to content) is spaced out, preventing spam and promoting meaningful engagement.
The cooldown was reduced from 3 minutes to 90 seconds.

There is also a cooldown for recieving reactions from the same user. You can only get 3 likes worth of coins every minute from the same user.
