I feel as if you are approaching this from the wrong angle. Its not that women in these games are like the Tardis or that their gardens contain a blackhole. What makes me laugh my A off is that in many "straight" adult VN's, the amount of detail and work on the male member in the story far exceeds the generic and dull female openings for it. The ladies don't get the render-love and attention the MC gets when it comes to their private parts.

I sort of empathize with the developers a bit, that male member has a lot of animated video and other work to do in the story. Readers of the VN often see themselves as the MC protagonist and so exaggerating size and such is part of the fantasy of sexual exploits the readers will never get in reality (and most of the time shouldn't--would we truly want a harem?). So, the fantasy and the technical needs kind of ask for an oversized adjustment of male junk. Still, the imbalance is too much too often and it looks so unrealistic as to be stupid.

I especially hate when the first nudity that shows up in a VN is the MC in the shower or jacking off by himself. I'm not reading a gay VN so why get exposed to that??

I have a different theory...
Most Daz assets (poses, animations) are already modelled with a 12 inch penis to begin with. If you try to use those same assets with a normal dick it adds 10-20 mins of posing to make it look right. Animations are even harder to adjust, and most people don't really invest time into animating in Daz anyway (it's shit).
So yeah, could just be laziness.
