I will dig around and see if I can find it again. TBF most of my psych analysis papers were on fictional characters. I've done papers on Bruce Wayne/Batman, Hannibal Lecter, Jean-Luc Picard, Tony Stark/Iron Man and a few others. (A couple of my professors accused me of being the one student that forced them to read up on pop culture. And a journalism teacher sat me down and asked me why I had never considered taking up the writers mantle)

Okay, so there's about 3 different points here and I'm gonna try to take them all individually, so please be patient with me.
Firstly, Thank you for the opening comment, I'm very aware of Reddit. I was kinda there when it all started. (I'm reminded of the line from The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. "Do not cite the Deep Magic to me Witch. I was there when it was written" Lol) And yes, I do post and do some Q&As there as well. I offered this thread as a kind of "thought experiment," if you will. A break from the usual threads and themes, even. A chance for both of us to ask and answer questions that we might not get the opportunity to ask otherwise.
Now on to the fetish question, Podophilia and scatophilia are, like most fetishes, a way for people to act out or fulfill a perceived appetite. They both are very much power-based fantasies and tend to show up in a lot of bdsm and kink communities. The foot fetish, for example, can take many different forms. It can be a sign of domination, whenever one individual causes another to be aroused just by using their feet, such as stepping on them or having them lick/kiss their feet. It can also be method of submission (Example: when one allows another to use their feet or any other part of their body for a sexual release).
In a fashion, scatophilia can serve the same purpose. You have the classic of someone using another person for sexual gratification by performing a "taboo" act on them or for them
Both of these fetishes, especially in many "modern" cultures are considered taboo and unthinkable by the "normal people" which also adds to the appeal for some people. Lets be honest, we all often get a thrill from doing things that we are told not to, right?

it's an interview podcast and she was a guest.
Maybe if no one finds out, she could get away with it. But there would still be a possibility to things to go bad, the guy could regret this and be convinced to say who made his wish come true. She said on the Podcast she won't do it because she fears she will be arrested.
In this case he doesn't just want to be humiliated, he wants to be partially destroyed. Would it be a critical case in psychology?
The foot and scat fetishes makes more sense now, these fetishes are the least understood on this forum from what I've read from people here (and myself).

I personally think that's a psycho-evolutionary throwback. It's like an old line of code left in the human brain. We involuntarily associate youth with vitality and fertility, both in perspective mates and in ourselves. And it's not just masculine types either. I have been associated with manner mature feminine persons who are drawn to younger sexual partners. And there are several reasons on the feminine side of the sexual spectrum

I'm assuming majoring in psych meant studying a lot of case studies and experiments, interesting or otherwise. what would be some you remember as either the most disturbing, or most genuinely engaging/interesting? people get up to quite a bit of strange shit when it comes to psychology, so I'm always interested in hearing about new ones (like I learned about Harlow's Monkey Experiment recently and found that one to be interesting.)

This is actually part of a second psych degree (long story) but yes, I've seen and been involved in a lot of fucked up cases. I think the one that stays with me the most was when we (myself and a mentor) interviewed a mental patient who was convicted of 4 killings. The kicker was that the convicted person was only 13 years old. It was disturbing as fuck
