Which mod was this if you don't mind me asking because I know there are some real pathetic mods there right now still.
Unfortunately the good ones from the early days are not mods anymore. But just purely asking out of curiosity.

Also how well is this games English given that is says MTL translation.

It won't really help you. The gallery is half broken. Its an early WIP one in this version of the game, many scenes straight don't work or bug out the game its even stated as much in the devs notes., hopefully we get a later version at some point if one exists.
