discussion Thoughts on Pineapple on Pizza?

I'm half italian. We don't have any problems with pineapple on pizza. I personally find it very tasty (not as tasty as pepperoni, but still).
Everyone, who is moaning about it, should maybe try it first?

The best thing about pizza is that it is such a simple concept that you can easily make one with your own favorite ingredients.
I don't think I've had a pineapple pizza, but I like pineapple so I don't think it would be that bad. It most likely does sell pretty well too since basically every pizzeria around here sells them.

I would however call a pizza made with something like a combination of marshmallows and barbecue sauce a crime against the entire universe.

Marshmallows? Did someone mistake the mozzarella for marshmallows? Although the other picture with the fried egg on top of the pizza didn't look too appealing either...

I hated it LONG before I had internet access. In fact when it first appeared around here and the internet wasn't really a thing yet. If you couldn't get it on pizza before about 1980, it doesn't belong on pizza. Anchovies don't belong even though they did. Who likes that?

Yup. If you were ever in one of those "You can only eat one food for every meal for the rest of your life" situations, pizza is the best choice. Whatever you feel like eating, just slap it on top of a crust and bake it, and voilà! It's a pizza!

I have an Italian friend and he doesn't care what the pizza is with, whether it's traditional or not, and I'm of the same opinion, if you like to eat pizza with pineapples, eat it. only an idiot will shout that it is not according to some "rules" that the pizza is cooked

Nobody likes the first 3. Pineapple is good - just not on pizza. Kind of like ice cream.

If noone likes the first 3, why is there pizza with fish and other seacrap? Why is there pizza with paprika, jalapeño, olives and other weeds? And most of all, why is there pizza with mushrooms? Garbage, weeds and poison.

im gonna say it, traditional Italian pizza lacks sauce its flat and floppy. a nice pineapple pizza in the states is immaculate

A Hawaiian style pizza is great. Can't go wrong with that. Pineapple just...too good.
