Games that get too much hate?

Seducing the devil was so hated, and for good reasons. It was such a mess.

Big Brother - it was grindy and spawned a ton of imitators, but at the time it felt like a jump up in game possibilities from an art perspective.

I hate all abandoned games it's like they give you world then destroyed it and I hate ugly character design
yep. there as a game called learning curves .. excellent 1 release .. then down hill

Sandboxes. They're fine as long as it's always clear what's next and what you need to do.

Their looks. That's the biggest amount of hate I see.

I admit.. I passed it over many times before that, because the daughters weren't the cookie cutter models we're all used to.

I played it then, and at first was like.. I dunno.. these girls. But then, after I got into the story, I looked passed the looks and was hooked.
Same was slightly put off at first by the models used but as mention above the story kinda got me hooked to a point as well.

I hate it when good games (good gameplay and storyline) get abandoned. Also hate it when some good games have too long a period between updates (although on the plus side, there are some devs out there who apologise for delays, due to personal circumstances). However, other long period updates confuse you - are they still being updated or have they been abandoned. Often, these long delay games mean I have to start afresh, because I've forgotten the story. That all being said, I keep my negative thoughts on specific games to myself - just because I hate a particular game doesn't mean it's common opinion.

Summertime Saga gets a ton of heat because of it's dev issues. But the game that's actually there is great, has great art work, and for being as old as it is now is still top of it's class.

I find that a lot of unnecessary hate is directed at Devs who try new things.

A large portion of this is sometimes deserved, if that dev has broken a promise, lied, or didn't give players a warning.

But I can think of a time when a Dev added 'optional' lesbian content between two harem members.

The Dev got massive backlash, even when telling players it was coming.
That kind of thing goes a little too far in my opinion.

Still, as someone who $upports a fair few projects, I can honestly say that Dev's lying/deceiving/breaking promises happens far too often, so maybe its just the player frustration?

The last chapter was the first one where I kept catching myself thinking: "Naughtyroad should have had an editor here"
Up until then the rambling was just pulled back in time, so, good writing skills. ( And he is without doubt a very skilled writer/storyteller)
So, yes, agree on the last chapter.
Is this the big wheel chapter? I got quite bored on that section, which was disappointing as it was obviously intended to be a climactic event. Generally it's been very well written, even enjoyed the fantasy sequence with Macy as a monster.

I think Light of My Life gets its fair share of hate.

I like it though.. so, yeah. Then again, I've been known to have poor taste in things.
I felt Light of my Life was utterly loved by most. The only hate was that the developer
abandoned it.

Guess we can add Summers Gone to the list with the recent Steam censorship debacle.

Don't know about here but generally ntr games get too much hate. People need to stop self inserting and enjoy a story as a story.

Any game with NTR. I dont know whats wrong with the NTR haters even some game clearly ntr on the title they still go on their way to hate game cause it is NTR. Even with ntr tag they still play and cry on the comment section for being a ntr game.

? It's still in development, he's posting weekly status updates on his discord.

It got a lot of trolls pestering the thread insisting that the Abandoned tag *must* be applied.

I don't see any. The ones I see get hate deserve it for idiocy or blueballing.
