Some suggestions.

Please consider replacing vid88.webm and vid89.webm with a POV angle from the MC's perspective looking down instead.

The camera perspective in those two videos makes it almost seem like it's the player who's getting fucked by the MC. EXTREME turn-off.

As a general rule of thumb, it is best if close up shots of MC's face is avoided during sex scenes. ESPECIALLY DURING CLIMAX.

There are two choices. One for Em and One for Steph. After that, it's a straight line, but those choices all have completely different scenes and storylines.

Yeah somehow I doubt her pussy was still full of some other dude's splooge and somehow the MC couldn't taste the difference. I'm sure she at least rinsed. But the reaction from a certain sector of the audience who were utterly convinced the MC was a cuck who had been eating second-hand creampies for years was priceless. Other than that, it's the whole gigachad thing, where some players want to control an MC that is a heightened epitome of what they see as manhood, with a ridiculously huge and magical penis, a will of iron that forces reality itself to conform to his expectations, and so much sexual charisma he could fill a mansion with a harem of gorgeous girls who are completely fulfilled by a life of waiting docilely for their turn with his magic cock. Deaufosse's MC is an average dad with a terminal illness who is kind of an asshole on his best day and some players have trouble getting behind that...

Considering some of the things I've heard from my schizophrenic patients or those with frontotemporal dementia the whole doll thing seemed very obviously a perceptual disturbance and not legitimately supernatural.

Game is really good. I feel like shit saying it's disturbingly sexy at times. It was almost more of a gut punch when the wife laid out how shitty MC was to Christina to force her to be the other woman all her life than it was when the doll confronts him with the consequences of him grooming Emmie because at least with Emmie you can try to write it off as 'not really him' and just the tumor but what he did to Christina he did knowingly.

Agreed. Except for the doll stuff (which is still well-written, just in mv view unnecessary) the writing in this VN is just way too good for its genre.

The grooming path is dark enough I won't even play the forced one. I know this is just a hobby for the author but I really hope they continue cause there is an interesting story to be told here and I would like to see where it goes!

By not playing the forced path you are missing some of the evidence of the teddy bear and Hi-Jo being independent supernatural beings. Both paths feature pretty much the same content with the teddy bear and Hi-Jo, with some differences regarding the timing (the Emmie content which segues into the teddy bear content in the forced path is in a flashback to the afternoon/early evening as opposed to taking place at the end of the evening). However, in the forced path, the MC has knowledge that he shouldn't have...specifically what to tell the dentist's assistant so that they dope Emmie up before her very minor oral surgery to keep her from spilling the beans about the molestation, including the name of the drug used. He specifically remembers later that he somehow acquired that knowledge without ever having learned it, indicating that the teddy bear (spoonerifically called Rarret Goss in my game because I kept the default MC name of Garret Ross - no idea what it would be called in the games of renamers) must have given him that information somehow. Although I suppose you could counter that he looked it up on the internet sometime before the dentist appointment and simply forgot that fact without forgetting the information itself.

Look up Peduncular Hallucinosis / lilliputian hallucinations and you'll see it's very much like what MC is experiencing though a little less disturbing in real life haha. I'm a psychiatrist so I've only seen one case of it before when I was consulted when they thought the patient was schizophrenic because they were seeing miniature sized animals in their room at night. That patient ended up having vasculitis causing the hallucinations but I asked the neurologist after and they said they most commonly see this phenomena in patients with brain tumors / lewy body dementia (so maybe yes Bruce Willis haha)

I'll have to try the forced path I guess to see if I could square it away. I agree if it ends up being supernatural I will be a bit dissapointed because I feel like it alleviates even more of the responsibility from MC for his actions which diminishes the impact of the story.

Well Bruce Willis would be with the frontotemporal dementia, hence the joke. Lewy body dementia is more Robin Williams. One of Williams' symptoms (beside the suicide) was giving a friend a sock full of watches and asking him to "keep them safe". Definitely disordered thinking but not so freaky as the psycho teddy bear/evil alter ego thing we see here.

Malignant is seriously, genuinely incredible. Even if it didn't feature such succulent, sweet, exquisitely rendered, forbidden fruit, I would still love this game. This is up there alongside Desert Stalker and Light of My Life for me; the cream of the crop and a testament to what indie game devs can accomplish. There is a real eye for cinema in this. The renders are some of the best, the framing is beautiful, the pacing is just perfect, the writing is mature without purple prose or navel gazing diatribes. There is a consistent, brazen and dark eroticism throughout, like a livewire just buzzing and popping, without resorting to constantly piling on more and more sex scenes with a baker's dozen of interchangeable, wanton sluts.

It makes feel like I'm watching Profit for the first time again (the short-lived 90's Fox series starring Adrian Pasdar, not the show from the 2010's), except the lead is more like Sam Witwer. I love this MC. He's just fascinating, and he makes the story this bizarre and addictive mashup of dark thriller, character study and a 70's porno, back when they gave a shit about telling a story. Like Behind the Green Door.

I remember when 'Burned' popped up, a ways back. I'm not into Futa/Trans, or stories surrounding High Schoolers in general (unless it's a slasher or a sex comedy, basically something from the 80's), so I passed on it. I've changed my mind on that. If I see the name Deaufosse attached to a game, that's a blazing, neon radiant seal of quality. I'll check it out.

Seriously, well done. I will follow this game for the duration of its development, and when I inevitably cave in and come back to Pixiv for the 37th fucking time, I will 100% be supporting you on Fanbox.

I get sexually charged then then in the next scene I am ready to cry. I am riding this roller coaster of emotions and loving every minute of it. I wish the art was a little clearer and maybe, the girls could have been a little prettier. But I guess that just adds a little more of the reality of life. I am not finished with this game/story just yet. I am playing the "evil" side, I forgot what the two choices were, but I'm sure you know what I mean. When I am done, I will play the other side. I was so happy to see that this game isn't complete, and you still have more to do. I am excited by that.
