On some days i'd rather see the Holiday Special over The Last Jedi, or even the truly awful Ewok movies. At least the Holiday Special has the Boba Fett cartoon.

[COLOR=var(--YLNNHc)]Star Trek is a good example of sci- but Star Wars is much more than that, since it combines fantastic elements, and the narrative of the hero's path

In Star Trek they are generally adventures of a crew, with Star Wars you can deviate much more, tell many more stories

Star Wars every single time. Have to admit that's primarily the first three (episode 4-6). The others were not so good. Still better than Star Trek. And Kirk is way better than Pickard.

There was never a Star Wars TV series until stupid streaming services.
I think that the (SHUDDER) 'Ewok Adventures' was going to be an attempt to start a Star Wars series (for kids) but it BOMBED. Of course, there were the 'Boba Fett' cartoon bits as well in the HORROR mentioned in my previous post (the cartoons weren't too bad). Those might have also been a trial for an animated series.

Not sure if those were tries at TV series or not, but the BAD reception for both stopped attempts to bring Star Wars to the Small screen.

Star Wars is Space Fantasy, or somewhat like sword and planet/sword and sorcery/space opera. Star Trek is science fiction light, its very light on actual science heavy on speculative science/technobabble. They both have sound in the vacuum of space, they both have spaceships move like planes in an atmosphere.

Star Wars tv was Droids and Ewok cartoons, then Ewok tv movies. Years later Clone Wars Micro series from Genndy, then Dave Filoni Clone Wars. A live action show Underworld was developed but the pilot was never even filmed and who knows what Disney did with the scripts. Ron Moore at one time was attached he did the Battlestar Galactica remake.

stargate had macgyver and they didnt needed ships to travel. 😜

Yeah, but he couldn't escape Antarctica (with help) until he was rescued. Pretty sure he had Duct tape with him as well. :)

Early Stargate was good. The problem they had in late seasons was that they WON, and the whole ORI thing just didn't have the same 'Magic' as the earlier seasons (for me).

Just a thought.

i didnt even watched it to the end. ^^

I honestly prefer star trek over wars (and stargate over both)

Star wars I just think if I want to watch elf's I rather they not be in space .

Never watched Stargate btw. Didn't look like it would appeal to me.

I've only touched star trek but i get the gist of star wars even though i haven't watched any of it. memes kinda made me chain the plot.

Hm, was thinking about it and I have ONE reason that Star Trek is better.

The Star Wars Christmas Special

Other than that HORRENDOUS thing I will stick with what I have said before. Both are good. Both have been destroyed by the modern releases.

Just a thought.
i've never watched it but i saw a post regarding that abomination.

I'm a Star Wars fan but I think the original movies of both franchises are the best.

Which franchise do you prefer?

Star Trek for me. The last several SW just sucked

Maybe its the homemade whisky kicking in, but on a porn pirate site, I am being asked to decides between star wars n star trek, LOL

Star Wars is more a fantasy action than sci-fi so they are two very different genres.
As a kid I really liked SW, now I really like ST. But sadly both franchises were run down by people that do not care for the IP. The state SW is today is something miserable

I agree completely white datarelay it so sad Star Wars and Star Trek are in a sad stay there story are beyond repair now

Once they went on those damn streaming sites instead of normal TV, too...
