Nah, not the 25M dictated the renaming, Capitalism did. If the only change needed to not miss out on a Market is RENAMING a fucking Item you do it, Money is all that matters for a Company. I wish Visa/MC worked that way (just business, fuck principles or morality policing). If they did SS/BB wouldn't need to exist as Patreon wouldn't need to ban anything otherwise legal in their TOS (ie only drug dealers and terrorists would be banned)). After all, they'd make more money if they didn't care who used their payment network, it's still a 3% fee regardless.
As if ratings make that big a difference these days. I let my kids play what they want, if they are old enough to make their own money (ie 12 = mow lawns like I did) they can make their own decisions, ratings be damned. Hell I'll even buy it for them online if they reimburse me to get around the regular age restrictions via cc (Im the "cool dad that would be cooler if I also paid for it"). Dunno why a few get outraged and bitch and bellyache until it's ruined for everyone else. Don't like it = don't buy it or let your kids buy it, leave everyone else alone. Oh Visa/MC work exactly that way, that's why they press for their Partners like Patreon to Ban 'questionable' content. Because it could potentially Endanger their Business model if they get sued or just shouted at enough for, let's say Amazon and others to cancel their contracts their as good as Dead.
Why would Amazon do that? They'd lose billions as that's their only payment method unless they started their own payment network or made everyone get some patience and go back to waiting until a check in the mail clears (trillion-dollar company = I suppose they could if they really wanted to). Until then and until crypto eventually gets to be an equally popular payment method Visa/MC has got everyone by the balls (including Amazon) and they know it. They are getting shouted at already for their censorship/morality policing and they are all getting ignored, they seem to simply not give a fuck. I'm sure someone somewhere has sued them already for that, and of course they lost since it's legally considered a private network, even if it seems pretty public to me when just about everyone not a homeless hobo needs it to live (should be seized by the gov't and broken up like when AT&T was in 1984 unless they lay off the censorship, sadly they are probably in bed with the gov't and doing their censorship for them since they can't legally do that themselves, and as Bernie Sanders once said they have already bought and paid for all the necessary congressmen).
