But most DAV content uses the same assets, and as someone mentioned above, there may not be that many ebony DAV characters/models.

Not sure if that is a popular opinion, but I think animations are not a necessity. Of course good animations can support the intensity of a scene and the immersion into a story. But if I want flawless animations, I can always watch porn, so I don't expect it in a game as a requirement.

On the other hand, I do love it if the character sprites have some subtle animations in a VN. Some waving hair, some eye blinks or small movements - that's what increases the atmosphere of a game by a lot!
One example would be "Love Season, Farmer's dream" where the chest movements give a nice touch.

Tough question, there are so many with so many lost in the wank bank for ever never to be remembered again, but i'll give you some that I really enjoyed for various reasons which I tried to categorize a bit. Keep in mind a couple are not complete but have great potential.

Story: Acting Lessons. The Cabin Summer Vacation.

Humour: The Headmaster.

Content/Effort: Being a DIK.

Genreal Sexiness/Fapability: Parental Love. MILFY City. Midlife Crisis. Summer with MIA. Man of the House. Long Story Short.

Depravity: The Hunter. Blackheart Hotel.

As I say there are literally dozens that don't spring to mind right now but hope those couple help if indeed you haven't played them before.

Hillside has a good story, but one hell of a slow burner.

I love The Two Sides of Love but fear it will never be finished. It has a very inconsistent dev

The incest in SSP is high that becomes a parody of the genre. But in therms of graphics may be one of the bests.
I like relationship construction of Radiant. Maybe not the best story telling, but my love is shared equally for each of the triplets
