Does anyone usually skip parts of visual novels? If so, what parts?

I like to see all content, but sometimes there are characters I have no interest in or lose interest in. So sometimes I skip them. Typically I play games now for story, and if I am not enjoying the story I may skip content to see if it gets better later rather than just deleting the game.

For me it really depends how good a story of the game is for me. Some games drag the story way to much but have some good scenes, so i sometimes just skip some dialogue if i don't find it interesting.

Yeah. If there are multiple girls involved in the story I'll usually just skip the path of the one I don't find attractive. Or if that isn't an option I'll just skip through their scenes and conversations.

I will skip if I am on a time crunch, but prefer to have the story. It makes the moments you like all the better. Unless the character isn't what you are after, in which case, spam the skip lol

Like wh
Long chunky walls of text that seem to go on forever that have no real relevance to the plot, i.e when characters go on tangents out of nowhere.
When the developer, for zero reason, starts talking about politics or shit like 'pineapple on pizza' lol

My thumb/finger gets tired clicking past non sexy dialog. Some games I click and click and click ad infinitum waiting for the dialog to get lewd.

without choice and action. I usually skip the parts that cannot explain something in 50 lines and that completely destroy my sexual urges.

Sometimes there is a sex scene that's just not my thing at all, so I'll usually skip those.

My first play-through I try to read all dialogue and watch every sex scene unless the text drags on for hours.

On my next play-through with newer updates I will skip more text just to get to the new content.

I read the dialogue to a point. If the writer keeps beating a dead horse I'm over it, and I'll start skipping.

it depends on the game. Some games have great stories and dialogues. So I wont skip. Other games have beautiful models so I create a story in my head and skip to spicy scenes.

Honestly, if the game has bad story and frequent scenes I don't like it as much. At that point great story and beautiful characters but infrequent sex scenes trumps all else.

nope, i dont skip.
if i get the desire to skip i just drop the game and search for another one.

A lot of times certain authors get very detailed in the dialog of their games and so I usually skip through (if possible) the repetitive or long-winded dialog scenes. Also, if I've played the game before and have a decent idea of the story, then I'll skip to the parts that are not as fresh in the mind.
