let me be very clear about the reality we live in. I wasn't talking about you, I'm in this game Dev scene for some time now. and I know every excuse in the book, I've seen enough games pumping out a lot more content before they rich certain amount of cash flow and suddenly problem appear. game Devs who milk their games so hard they make 17k per month and update their game once a month with a work that I can do in 15 minutes (not even a joke)
everything I wrote I 100% true, again not talking about you and again, I know which Devs are scum who lie and which ones are honest. it doesn't take a genius to notice when a game Dev is not being honest. people who make way over 2-3 per month via Patreon often start slowing down their game updates, there's nothing new here, it happens over 90% of times. go check 95zone, or this site or stright to Patreon, that's just the reality. every game Dev have a sweet spot, and every game needs it, too much money and the Dev will start milking, too little and he won't fucking bother because he has bills to pay. TK8000 is the only Dev I know who cares and updates his games correctly, but he never reached high cash flow per month so go figure...
now, as for your case and the data lose you apparently had. you should save anything in your pc via memory points just incase your windows fails. and you should always have another USB or whatever data storage for the more important stuff. it is really unwise to work so hard on a project of whatever it is you're doing (not just this game) and then lose it because you were too lazy to copy paste... I assume whatever you did is not going to ever happen again, because that's just plain stupid at that point.
