I really don't see the point in having various path in this type of game. It's not like people will replay something just because at best, 15-20% of the story will change. Nobody has a team of 300 people who can create enough variety in the paths so that 80% of the story changes so it's worth it to replay.
Each time there's a VN with various paths, I just play one (I don't even bother looking for a walkthrough) and then I extract the images and see what I missed. It would be better if finishing one path would unlock every scenes, including those I missed, in some kind of replay gallery, so I could get the text too and not only the images, but that's what I do anyways, and it's fine with me.
I know some people don't want to see x or y type of scenes. For them, a single path with choices at the beginning so it removes what they don't like, would still be better than multiple paths.
TL;DR : I think multiple paths are too much work for a dev, with very little benefit for him or players. Who agrees ? Am I in the minority or majority ? Who knows...
Yeah, then I guess I'de prefer kinetic novels, with minor choices that would just be the equivalent of "I don't care about lesbian scenes" or something similar, but it doesn't really impact the story besides you not seeing a sex scene, or seeing one of 2 possible ones.Therein lies the difference between a VN and a KN. Kinetic novels only have one path, you just click and see everything there is and don't have to worry about missing any content, but a lot of people hate KNs because of that lack of choice and "agency" over the MC's actions. But as you say, the more choices, the more work the dev does and the less of that work is seen by the average player. So basically it falls to the dev to see where they would like to put the balance between choices/paths and expediency of releases for their particular game.![]()

IMHO, kinetic novels are depressing, in the sense that they are not games, but simply actually a comic book designed as a game, if it has an exciting plot or high-quality animations, then this is still tolerable, otherwise I pass by.Yeah, then I guess I'de prefer kinetic novels, with minor choices that would just be the equivalent of "I don't care about lesbian scenes" or something similar, but it doesn't really impact the story besides you not seeing a sex scene, or seeing one of 2 possible ones.
whoa hold up ur telling me that if i dont find those then characters can die wtfSo, I'm reading through the thread and come to find out there are hidden objects in this game. And clicking on them unlocks extra scenes. Not clicking on them can even make it so that characters die apparently. Now I'm worried about moving forward in the game. Is there somewhere that has a list of when the hidden objects show up? I don't mind looking for them myself, but if I have to click, then roll back, everywhere on the screen just to scour for a chance of a hidden object, then this game will quickly plummet to "not fun" status. Although...is this why there are certain sections of the screen that you're unable to click on to advance the scene?
I think it's a mix up. You can FIND OUT if Macy is still alive or not by clicking a certain object. Your other actions in game cause her live or die.whoa hold up ur telling me that if i dont find those then characters can die wtf
oh ok ty for clearing that upI think it's a mix up. You can FIND OUT if Macy is still alive or not by clicking a certain object. Your other actions in game cause her live or die.
If you don't click the object it doesn't change the outcome.
Ask when the update will be released here
The 16th or 17th
Considering the thread is owned by the dev, it'll be released when the public version drops, which should be the 16th or 17th.Ask when the update will be released here
