I'll be honest:
I wasn't fan of Burned. The plotline was engaging but what was offputting were side character and choices, bait choices that didn't matter. Neither the way storyline was progressing. Wasn't bad in slightest but not my cup of tea.
Malignant though is close to a masterpiece as it gets for a first release.
Here are few things that stood out the most.
1. Choice between Light/Dark path is awesome. Gives so much replay value and very much caters to both people who want to see their daddy-daughter corruption story or want to see darker content.
2. Quality of renders is actually very, very good. A bit uncanny at times but very good. Which in returns adds to overall quality of the VN. I especially liked how MC looked. He looks unique compared to many MCs out there in other VNs.
3. Normally, I'd be a bit bummed that player choices barely matter. Except here's it's actually perfectly done. Having game choices be represented as MC's inner struggle as his thought patterns change and as his personality shifts? Genius idea! I do like though that with some you get different outcomes or dialogues.
4. Characters are actually polished in their personalities. Family has their distinct things they do, like Alina's bathing or her little nickname. Alternatively future contnet setups like with Stephanie.
5. Main character designs are gorgeous. Emmie is what you'd get with most VNs when it comes to daughter character. Blossoming young lady who has two paths ahead.
With design of Alina, I'm very happy that you actually went with... well, the appearance she has and the way she behaves. A lot of people doing VNs would shy away, yet you commited. You have absolute respect for that and in my eyes put the VN instantly alongside such good VNs like Such Sharp Pain or Apocalypse.
6. The light path, aka corruption path for Emmie is well done. Yes, yes. Some could argue a bit fast progression for the relationship with her. However, it does make sense for the MC to take advantage of the situation he founf his daughter in. It also adds to so much more realism that from start of the game, MC doesn't suddenly realize his attraction to Emmie but rather he comes with it (the phone scene with wife).
Overall, looking forward to see Emmie's corruption and how she turns into MC's slutty daughter.
7. The dark path. Oh man. Oh man. I don't think there's many games doing what you did. Huge respect. Massive balls. I very much liked that you didn't shy away from including "triggering" words in there. I like that Emmie straight up told MC what he is and what he's doing. I very much like that it's closest to how ACTUAL people would react if they were subjected to such situations. In world where characters over single chapter become sex addicted whores, this game shines like a bright beacon.
Actually bringing logical character behavior, personality and realism. Please, please never lose track of that. It's one of the best parts of the game.
8. Alina's content is straight up good. The bed scene is adorable and innocent, yet tremendously hot. I loved especially that MC thought about implications of his actions. The other shower scene is a very nice beginning of events and I truly want to see where it leads!
9. Content with MC's wife has been a bit sparce and that's honestly fair. I did see some theories in the forums on what can happen. All I can say is that it would be godly to see the wife join in on fan and humor her sick husband after she gets appropriately corrupted. One way or the other. But they, that's wishful thinking. I am besides glad that we have some milf content there too!
10. You're nailed it so far with the theme and story. What's happening to MC being reason for a sudden change in personality and things he wants to do? Good, very good!
Overall, amazing game. I will keep my eyes on the game. If the game continues to update, you'll have my sub guaranteed. I genuinely believe consistent and good job like this should be awarded so one day, you can safely and comfortably live and make VNs.
