Yes, the game Dev did ask for it to be removed but we don't remove things at the request of other Devs unless it's reasonable like Duplicated threads or wrong locations(If wrong locations, it'd be moved elsewhere). But we don't remove games at the request of Devs. We remove them if we see it as a danger. In which case, Hummingbirds, although looks far more like Anime characters, was deemed to be too much.

most take that as such that there will be no update this year.
they're working on a 2.0 and have stated that there will be no major updates to the game, until they finish 2.0.

I think it was a move from flash to unity and a bunch of other general content updates and additions. some small story system was being talked about too IIRC.
the slow progress was told to be because of slow communication with the artist, among other reasons such as covid. the dev team is taiwanese.
