I feel like I saw tons and tons of fantasy setting porn games from visual novels to rpgs.
But I don't see enough Sci fi, is the fantasy overused because it is more common so you have an easier way to write the story?

How can a sci-fi not be fantasy?

I agree with you and this is why I think fantasy is used alot but I want devs to experiment give me some dark dystopian future or a something similar to cybperpun 2077 or Valhalla cyber bartender in terms of world building

I'm not into the "dark" so much, so if VNs come out in that nature, I'll be happy for you, but I'm not likely to partake. I think the closest I'm likely to get is when I finally DL City of Broken Dreamers (which might be exactly the kind of thing you're envisioning) and I did just get into Neverwhere. I thought about doing CoBD a couple of years ago, but it was said to be close to completion, and is a huge download, so I thought I might put it off until the final release. I know there are dark & dystopian elements, but I'm not looking for totally hopeless and always trying to avoid getting raped and murdered by zombies.

There are plenty of sci-fi games, the kicker is that most of them aren't super high quality. I would recommend Tales from the Unending Void if you haven't played it already.

There is also City of Broken Dreamers, Ripples, and Oppai Odyssey.

Not true, you can have some depraved alien shit out there lol. But to answer the initial question, I don't think so. Fantasy theme has its charm.

I don't think there are enough harem fantasy with incest and pregnancy, hell i can't think of one. I mean like in a world with elves, humans, dwarves, Wizards and Witches. Typical medieval setting with D&D tropes.

Harem Hotel sets it is present day with a more current setting, but with the conceit elves are ancient and exist. Not sure if that is sci fi, or fantasy.

You also have games that have satire but are supposed to be set in our world like Ecchi Sensei where there is no explanation for the Catgirls. Other than its a cute anime motif.
